If you're going to be a miner you'll need some spares.

I ordered several APW3++, a few control boards, cables, and fans as spares. The shipping per unit is better if you buy a couple items at a time. Shipping is very high if you only order one unit of anything.

They said it would take 20 days but I had them in a week.

Fortunately control boards are cheap, around $60 USD, but with ridiculous shipping fees and I'm guessing VAT.

Last time I asked Bitmain they told me you can no longer flash firmware via the SD card interface.  Seems strange, but that is what they said.

In any case, if you did brick your unit, yes a replacement controller card would do the trick.  That said, if the units are under warranty, just open a ticket.  Tell them that somehow the unit got bricked while doing a firmware update and that you would like a replacement controller.  They may send you an stock e-mail or two (like telling you to update the firmware first!), just be polite but firm.  Eventually they should let you open a parts replacement ticket after which they will send you a controller within a few days.

If you read Phils reply, he said that he has few controllers, so you can try to talk with him, and find your way out of this mess Sad

Sorry for late replies.

Question one: PSU and Voltage. Its a 220V outlet, with bitmain's PSU.

Question two: So what happened is that when I first got the miner, the fans were spinning but the kernel log stated that the fans were not working or too low. I bought new fans, didn't work. So I tried flashing it and I guess I bricked it. As of writing, I am trying to flash it through Micro SD card but doesn't seem to help.

Right now I am thinking of buying a new control board, will that fix it?

Can you describe what and how you did it? Since you can't flash firmware like fanatic26 said, maybe you did totally something else that is not flashing firmware? What PSU are you using?

The fans of the miner are spinning but it doesn't light up any of the LED lights nor Ethernet lights. Cant even connect to it through IP. I tried to flash the firmware but doesn't work.

Does anyone know the solution?

go back in time and ask this question before you flashed the firmware.

Flashing firmware before asking for help is not the way to go.

But Tell you what  I live in New Jersey  If you are in the USA and want to send it to me I have several controllers  could try for you.
