Have you tried the method from hiveOS to rollback factory firmware? You can find the method under their FAQ use this link below.

And look for "Resetting the settings and rolling back to the factory firmware".

You are right i was accessing a cashed site. I seem to have been able to somehow reset it to factory firmware but its still not mining.

How did you reset it? post a screenshot of the system over, or copy these details

Code:
Kernel Version	Linux 3.14.0-xilinx-g16220c3 #83 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jul 12 11:42:53 CST 2018
File System Version Fri May 31 10:59:27 CST 2019
Logic Version V1.3.22

Keep in mind that when you reset the miner your pool info will likely be deleted so make sure you enter them again.

You are right i was accessing a cashed site. I seem to have been able to somehow reset it to factory firmware but its still not mining. At least I can connect to the device itself now to have a look around. I went into the kernel log and I CTRL+Fed "error", 0 matches. I rebooted the device through the webpage and this is the end of the log: https://i.imgur.com/BOEeyQX.png

It's weird because under miner status i dont really get any info from the miner itself, like its not telling me the fan speed or temps (I can tell the fans are on etc) https://i.imgur.com/FhpEg9o.png. Its like there is a communication error or something.

Now that im able to connect to the device and it seems like I can communicate alright is there a way for me to flash "new" firmware though the interface without having to completely disassemble the miner? Thanks for the help by the way.

It does not seem like you are accessing the miner, looks like a cashed page to me, can you try a different broswer?

Anyway, the first thing you have to do would be to get rid of the firmware, I am not sure about the uninstallation of HiveOS  but an Sdcard flash should do the trick, please follow this guide https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019493654-S9-series-S9-S9i-S9j-S9-Hydro-Control-Board-Program-Recovery.

Just moved my antminer and had to unplug the power. When i tried to start it up again it does not want to boot up fully. 2 of the boards have a red light on them and there are no red lights on the front of it, I have tried to wait for over and hour and still no change. I have tried to unplug it and plug it back in, i also tried the reset button and the ipreset button with no change. I did some slight trouble-shooting on a reddit thread and this is what i figured out:

"Do you get any lights at all on the front when you plug it in, like an initial flash of red and green light as soon as you plug it in? Any lights on your Ethernet port?"
Yes, when I plug it in the fans start and the ethernet port starts blinking. The other 2 lights blink quickly then turn off and they both stay off.

"Can you find the miner IP on your network and access the miner interface? If so look in the kernel log and do a search for errors and anything else that might clue you in to what could be going wrong."
After getting a new ethernet cable now I can connect to it. But it still does not seem to be mining or hashing etc and i cannot open the "Miner configuration" it just loses connection. Also the kernel log etc are all empty.

"Kernel log should clue you in as long as you can access it. If you can’t find the miner IP, then that also gives you an idea of what might be wrong."
kernel log is completely blank when i connect to it.

"Could be a power issue, either power supply or the circuit you are running off of. Try plugging it into your original circuit to see if anything changes."
It is still connected to the same power supply it has always been connected to, its was only disconnected while i was moving it.

"Could be a network issue or pool issue where the miner can’t connect to your network or pools for some reason. Possible a bad Ethernet cable."
Just plugged it directly into the router with a brand new Ethernet cable.

"Make sure the cables going from your control board to your hashboards are seated properly and not loose. Could be a failure of the control board itself."
re-seated all the connections including power etc just now.

"Could also be something like a dead fan preventing startup."
All fans running as far as i can tell.

"Could be temps are too high in the environment you are mining."
I'm mining in a pretty cold environment around 20C.

Also I have hive OS installed on the miner, i would like to factory reset it but that does not seem to work.

this is what the kernel log looks like.

this is all i can see when i connect to it in my browser. I cannot connect to "miner configuration" as well as "miner status" or "network".

edit 1:

After messing about i managed to get back the factory firmware but it is still not mining or hashing etc and im getting this error in the kernel log: https://i.imgur.com/eL04dQE.png

I did some googling around and i have no idea what it means etc. Any help is appriciated.
