You can run them on 230v so no transformers needed. They are actually slightly more efficient on the higher voltage. As for the cables I would check to see what gauge of wite you have going to the garage. A simple google searxh woild reveal what mm2 of wire you need on the ring to run the S9’s. It would be best to get a new ring run from your existing fuse box to the garage in heavy gauge wire and then a seperate trip switch in the garage to isolate them from the rest of your circuitry.

Its alot of juice so make aure you allow for extra voktage spikes etc. Dont have a guage of wire thats exactly rated for what you need, allow some head room.

Hey guys,

Im a long time lurker! I finally got my hands on 5 x S9's this week, and had planned on setting this up in my garage.

However, i was informed that this would trip my home circuit due to the large draw from the PSUs (i have the official bitmain PSU's).

I have checked in with various data centres, but the cost is pretty prohibitive (£1.5k/month quote for the 5).

Is anyone running multiple S9s from their home in the UK? If so, how are you doing it - did you have to get an electrician in to add special sockets, or did you buy some transformers etc?

I would really appreciate your help :-)

Cheers
