I can imagine how frustrating it must be, especially when the info isn’t clear upfront. I’ve been there too—when I first started, I got a miner with a setup I wasn't fully prepared for. It ended up being a whole headache, and I had to invest in new equipment to get things running smoothly

So I went to my parts chest. Found an epic controller updated firmware to 42 the newest and bang I got action on the t21. with the s19 psu. single phase

I also found buss bars from a s19xp that fit. So altairtech sent me short/misized buss bars.

Still fucking with the software. but I do have single phase psu working.

So I needed an epic controller I had one cost is 155

I needed buss bars I ordered one and got one that was too short I took bus bars from the s19 xp I have been modding

I used a new s19 psu I could have used the one that is on the s19xp

Since I have two more coming it is not an issue that I paid for parts.

I will ask Altairtech why I got the wrong buss bars.

based on what I did I actually think that the t21 could fit in the 1 board s19 build I did

giving you a sick 50th for 950 watts more tests to come.

my meter read 2782 watts for 157th that is about 17.72 watts a th

parts came for the refit I will post results later today.

and here is where I stand.

fuck fuck fuck shit shit shit and many other curse words.

1) My T21 has the wrong controller CVITEK

So I can not  run luxos . I could order a controller  from altairtech

T21 (Beta)   AMLogic   BHB68701

then install luxos to trick the controller to using the psu.

Next issue my new  buss bars are not the correct length.

So they do not quite fit .  not sure why this is true but it does seem to be a problem,

once he confirms I will order and hook up the t21 with the fix.

I look forward to hear how you get on with it. I understand the T21 (with standard PSU) will clock to 280TH / 5610W on Asic.to firmware

altairtech told me those are the correct parts.

I am placing an order now.

I shot a pm to altairtech

Video here re: converting T21 to single phase operation:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=0XR0nyLKroI

I guess it could work out ok if you could get a decent return on the unused 3-phase PSU's. There will be demand for them eventually (as they start to fail)

Too bad you are not USA based. I can’t find a host so far.

Ahh - that sounds like you were caught out too then. I think it's stupid that Bitmain named this the 'T21'. AFAIK they have never had a 3-phase air-cooled miner. By calling this a 'T21' it implies it is simply a 'T' version of the S21, but single phase vs. 3-phase is such a big difference. Maybe they should call it the T21-3, or something to make it more obvious.

Can you not return them for credit?

My supplier also suggested you can convert them to single phase with an aftermarket PSU

Having recently ordered a batch of Antminer T21 190T, I have just learned that Antminer T21 are 3-phase.

I had absolutely no idea they are 3-phase, and at the time of ordering there was no info on Bitmain website so impossible to know. This is going to cause me a huge headache and will make them virtually impossible to sell when I replace them.

Nothing anybody can do, but I just wanted to warn others in the hope it may help someone else to avoid making the same mistake.

yeah I got 3 of them 1 is here and 2 on the way.

There is an adapter but it does cost bigly

not sure if it does 1 of them it may

I may need this I can feed it 230 single phase  at 50 amps

if I run the t21s at a low speed option the high end adapter may work.

or find a host.

All my farms are 3-phase, so it's not the end of the world... however it does mean I need to rewire, and can't distribute them in the way I wanted to. They will also be very difficult to re-sell when I upgrade

So far  I think I screwed myself bigly on this.

Whatsminers are BY FAR the best quality miners I've ever seen. I've just sold a batch of 24 x M31s+ 82T. They were the first miners I ever bought (back in April 2020), and in 4 years only 1 x Whatsminer went faulty (dead PSU). No other problems whatsoever, no dead hashboards, not even a dead fan!

As for Antminer, I don't think I have any that have lasted more than 2.5 years.

The only reason I buy Bitmain is because they are easier to get hold of.

I have 6 whatsminers two m30s and four m50s they are nice gear.

Once the Whatsminers M50's spin up they run great for months on end.

I just don't get why they preheat and take so dang long to fire up though... But they are great!

yeah the whatsminers are very nice units.

not impressed with bitmain tbh, shame there are not more brands to choose from.
There are: Canaan and the Whatsminers from MicroBt. For one thing both are generally far more reliable...

Indeed, Im already leaning more towards Whatsminers... not only do they appear more reliable, but the footprint is also smaller.
