Aparently lowering the voltage now from 830 to 800 gave me better speeds! Now its on 63 and less heat.. Well looks like there is a lot of tweaking to do

volt 780 --au3-freq 243  I run this with ok speed

Ok update.. I tested it on a new machine now and installed drivers and set defaults and its hashing 50gh/s! Thr machine i tryed before is very old might have had some issue with it..
Now set volt 830 and 0982 freq and its 55- 60ghs so its good and now its getting warmer Cheesy lol

Funny part is that the unit is not even hot at all nor is the psu.. And ppl report stock go 55+.. Thats odd.. Ill try lower voltage tho..

This one that i have is 7.5 amp it says on it and its not hot at all.. Also the miner is batch 2 if that is anything different?

Im using the 4.9.2 cgminer as was the last version i figured the best?
I did try the bfgminer or whats the name but it didnt work :/...
Yes, was 7.5 amp PSU and I am running the version 2 of the U3 w/ the 12v 30 amp psu..

If you're using the stock power supply I highly recommend not going to volts above 780 as they have a knack of melting. These are unreliable pieces of shit unfortunately and as well as needing regular hard restarts, they may not run at their desired speed at default voltage. Since each device is different, don't assume that yours will run at someone else's settings. If you run them at higher speed than they can tolerate they will continue to fail and run lower than the speed you start them at. This is classically seen by them starting at the right speed and then dropping over time. Instead of increasing the frequency, try restarting them at lower and lower frequency till they actually continue to run at their starting speed instead of dropping speed over time, and accept that your device may not be capable of 62GH.

Leave au3-volt at 780 and start at default frequency of au3-freq 225 and then if the speed drops over time, unplug both the power and usb cable for 1 minute and then start again with au3-freq lower by 5 every time till you find a reliable frequency.

I was thinking that too than i downloaded a file from bitmain that starts all chips and all start well! That means there is no error with the device! I dont get it whats the problem.. Curently i have an app from the slush pool and its 11.2 ghs .. So thats 5x slower than it should :/

Uh i cant remember now but i think it was not detectable something like that.. Could it be a faulty product? Ill try to bump the voltages and use your settings see what happens!

Just noticed that you're first post mentioned a .bat file so you are running windows and will have the precompiled binaries so my build configuration is irrelevant.

Do test with the clock and voltage settings but at this stage it does look to me like a problem with the device.

Im using the 4.9.2 cgminer as was the last version i figured the best?

I'm getting 63 Gh/s on a raspberry pi with stock PSU using cgminer 4.9.2 with

"au3-freq" : "250.0",
"au3-volt" : "830",

cgminer was built using

./configure --enable-bitfury --enable-icarus --enable-bmsc --enable-bitmain

(I have some other USB miners too)

try that configuration.

Also, what error did you get with bfgminer? (the latest version worked fine for me at stock speed).

Ok i unpluged it and reverted to defaults itsworking now but still only 10-15gh/s :/

What miner and what version?

For cgminer you need 4.9.2

Ok i bumped up to 810 volt and freq 250  and getting 14.9 im using the stock charger that looks like a laptop charger... Did you use a custom one?
Yes, 12v 30 amp The one it came with was Insanely hot and the U3 would stop hashing a lot. Putting the power supply in the Freezer helped out till I got the 30 amp from Amazon for $23
P.S. Cgminer 4.9.2

Hi guys, im a noob to the mining but decided to give it a shot.. I connected the u3 and downloaded the cgminer.. I managed to understand the bat config and i set it up.. When i managed to start mining it was mining at 15gh/s and i know it can go faster so i thought ok well must have been something that i forgot than i went searching and found i can set voltages so i did according to the manual that was almost always off lol.. But since than i cannot mine at all.. Stays 0.00.. I reverted to defaults still just comes up stratum from pool 0 detected a new block but i am not mining and i have been waiting for 20 min now is that normal?
Why cant i mine anymore?
Cheers
