Anybody seen the following:

In "turbo" mode when i adjust fan to a static 80 or 85%, miner does not show any hashing speed on multiple window refreshes (yes, I waited 5-10 min for initial load).
Most likely, the machine still hashes, but i don't see anything shown on the panel.
I decided to try static speed just to make sure that i can load modded firmware (efudd or smartass111), but now not sure that it is worth a try.

Does modded soft have "balanced" and "turbo" or just a pulldown menu for various speeds?

In other words, is there a pulldown menu or you enter mhz by some other means?

Biodom, are you using Awesomeminer to manage your miner by chance? There are some conditions in awesome miner as it manages these where the status page will no longer work and just be blank, yet the data can be returned from the API.

As far as the modified, my current version supports 500-650 in 5Mhz increments and also allows selection of 651-700 in 1Mhz increments all via the web page/pulldown.

Mine are running.  Overclock ideas?  As said in other thread: Turbo mode is 550m and runs about 48-50KH solid avg after running multiple z9's for 3 hours.  I feel like if we can push these to 600 or 650m we def. have a solid 60kh miner on hands.  The inspect element does not work as I just tried it on mine as well.

1) ssh in, cd /config, make a backup opy of cgminer.conf, edit cgminer.conf, change "bitmain-freq" value to something else... save file.
2) Run "/etc/init.d/d cgminer.sh restart"
3) Profit... hopefully.

I am not used to ssh as much as other people, anyone try this to verify if it works on the z9?  They blocked saving this on the batch 3 mini's I heard.

While I didn't have a batch3, I think people just didn't know what they were doing... in theory I can test tomorrow when my DHL shipment arrives if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

In theory DHL order arrives tomorrow.
UPS order is delayed yet again.

!@#!#

*EDIT*: Called UPS and apparently this is delayed due to "plane damage" -- so good news, BITMAIN will get a refund on the shipping.

WTF is this shitola?
"A mechanical failure has delayed delivery.
We're adjusting plans to deliver your package as quickly as possible."

They got payment several months ago
They got tax paid.
Where is my stuff!?

What did I pay tariffs for???

Exact same thing with my UPS ones.
My DHL order is awaiting customs clearance.

Sigh.

I have had enough of this nonsense.
Almost $3.8 K tariff+fees on four Z9.
This plus $14.5K on Z9+PSU itself means that I am out of $18.3 K before they even started hashing.

$18.3K buys 165.5 ZEC without a penny spent on electricity making the whole affair foolish because four Z9 would NEVER make this amount.
Fooled by Zooko, Bitmain, etc.
Fool me once...

No more orders of any kind, especially from China.

And let's suppose you want to sell them on ebay. your minimum price is around 5200 just to break even... 3500 for miner+shipping+PSU, 950 for tariff, 3% for paypal fees, 10% for ebay fees.

... or maybe they overclock to 100kSol? Roll Eyes

Yup, screwed.... I mean, look at the opportunity to mine! Buy mine from ebay today!   Huh

Anybody already installed Z( (biggies) on the west coast?
Can it OC? The only remedy for a 27.6% tariff.

In theory mine land tomorrow east coast. $1894 for 2 earlier today in tariffs...

I'll try when they land.

Some movement. Got email that they started shipping.
Will see how long does it take.

Please, not a f-g word on this thread about mini (unless you could put mini OC software on maxi), from this point on it is all about Z9 Biggie/maxi.

Dear Bitmain Customer,

Thank you for your valued support of Bitmain.

We write to advise of a slight delay for your Antminer Z9 order. We estimate that it will arrive a maximum of five to seven days later than planned. We extend our sincere apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause and are working behind the scenes to reduce this timescale.

As a token of our appreciation for your loyalty, we have issued you a $90 USD coupon which may be redeemed against future Bitmain or Antminer purchases. (This will arrive separately in approximately five days. We will also send you an email with terms and conditions and explaining how to redeem the coupon.)

Thank you. If you have any questions, please contact us via support.bitmain.com.

Best regards,

Bitmain Sales Support team.
--snip--

Things happen, but $90 on a $3300/each purchase is a fscking joke.

This will be my last bitmain purchase, also.

I'm losing the equivalent of $120-150 USD/day not having these running, or extrapolating out for their "5-17 days" plus the missing 10 days (1-10th inclusive), that's $2250 at the low end. Grrr.

Ordered to the US through UPS on July 14th, still havent received any shipping information

Would be nice to hear exactly how much import tax you are paying for that delivery. I think it varies from country to country but I don't think it's that much, maybe $25 or something.

I assume that it is not necessarily the same as Z9 mini multiplied fourfold.

I kind of assumed it would be, it's just a couple of z9 minis together right? Everyone was saying they were getting nearly 16ksols on z9 mini overclocked.

Z9 is delayed by 5-7 days (that's what they promise).

That's it. The end of the line.

So you done mining overall or just boycotting bitmain, there has been other competitors coming out. Will you start buying elsewhere?

I am sorry, but it looks like they are working to send out B1 on Sep 10 (last day) and B2 on Sep11 (first day for B2), lol.
That would be something.
Seriously, WTF they are waiting for?
It is Sept 7 in China already!

I opened a ticket with them asking "where's my stuff?!" (but much more politely) and received the following just after midnight eastern:

--snip--

Was it shipped to anyone in US?

The hashrate might be lower to 40k sol/s  or above and I think if what specs posted on their website should be the same as what is there.

~snip~

Well Z9 mini (batch 1) was oreclocable by 50-60%.
I doubt that this would be the case with Z9 [maxi], but expect some potential.

Yeah, I've also read something similar on Reddit, someone been doing OC on the Z9 (mini) to 12.5 - 16.5 K Sol/s with high temps (it may go above 70 - it seems without cooler).

If it is about potential, might yes, 50% increase on OC mode can be reached, but sooner or later it will cause problems, let say its fan, or maybe the board and also other parts. I can't imagine how noisy is it.

pne thing of note, they rec APW7 for it, which is 1800W.

At default Z9 maxi is at 1150W, so 1800W is needed to have a room for potential overclock,or, at least, this is my read.

Yeah, makes sense, but I think they just want to sell their product.  Grin

As my personal experience with their product, S1, and S2 (it's a too old experience?  Cheesy). Yes, 40 K Sol/s might the default hashrate (as on their release said 40.8 k Sol/s +/- 5%) it may be reached with OC (more reasonable), Or maybe 40.8 K Sol/s + 2-3% (in OC mode) but it will produce more noise and heat than default, the default has noisy enough.

I guess bitmain is always delayed when delivering miners out so your estimation date wouldn't exact time.

Anybody got it?
I believe that shipment was indicated Sept 1-Sept 10.
I see that it is nominally 42Ksols.
Can anybody describe performance, OC potential, etc. ?

I assume that it is not necessarily the same as Z9 mini multiplied fourfold.
