How is it going to work? As per my understanding you have invested 0.003 btc in Antshares ICO on behalf of every user of your exchange who participated in your promotion.Right?

IOU trading are generally a preview of any ICO coin. However, devs and certain community people won't support it as it may lead for false speculation. Anyway, good luck to get some good trades and it could be your strong beginning with lot of trades. I want to see liqui a promising exchange.

I was watching youtube and an ads from google pop up, guess what? its liqui advertising an IOU ant trading, google have really targeted your audience good luck on you venture guys.

Honestly, I don't think they will (or should do), because all this is just idea by one of the ico participants — basically there is absolutely no connection between liqui & antshares. But I like this idea, so I will use it, maybe this will be a common tech in the future.

I like this  ICO today before  and now , with promotions from the liqui exchange i  buy some coins too, becouse  Rules of promo says : I will be able to sell coins before starting chain, after five days.

What Liqui seems to be proposing here is that a user invests through them and they credit their account with IOU (I owe you) ANS, meaning that these ANS are not already in circulation. These ANS will be calculated by the Antshares distribution formula and credited on the user's Liqui account so that they can trade them even if they actually don't have them. This is what I understood ...

I don't know if Antshares are aware of that, but I think that their approval is not necessary for Liqui to do that. Liqui invests their users' money and promises their ANS will be available for withdrawal once the mainnet is launched.

Seem like liqui exchange is making thier way to compete big exchanges. If you'd reach up there someday.

4) Once Antshares crwodsale is over we will credit ANS coins on your balance (at ICO price) in the equivalent of 0.003BTC.

P.S. All investments made on behalf of the exchange will be shown under ‘admin’ nickname and will always be put up for trading in a full lot at ICO price (for higher liquidity).

IOU market is about trading coins purchased by traders in the ICO and that so far have no own network. Until recently there has been no possibility to trade such tokens (no network – deposit/withdrawl doesn’t work). But today everything has changed

Liqui team has found a solution: when a trader/investor participates in ICO indirectly but through our platform (all transaction IDs are of course provided to developers’ wallets) – we can credited the balance of the relevant coin to them once the crowdsale is over!

Therefore, trading begins hours after ICO and there’s no need to wait until coin developers release the network (which often takes months). Or you can just keep the tokens on the balance (like it happens in any ICO) and once the network has been released – witdraw them. When the network is ready – IOU flag disappears from the relevant pair and then this pair functions as an ordinary coin.

What’s the technical backdrop of all that?

We haven’t managed to implement an application for participation in ICO inside the exchange yet, and we’re planning on doing that in several weeks.
Nonetheless, you can participate in the first IOU market today – and get your ANS tokens on your Liqui balance within 5 days.

Reaction of coin developers to IOU market

Developers get additional benefit from this market. And here’s why: investors, who understand that they can return to BTC any moment after ICO is over, feel fewer risks and therefore the total amount of crowdsale can be higher.

But we understand that developers are different and some may be unsatisfied or disapprove of trading IOU tokens. We are prepared for such a reaction but still believe that there are no violations on our part – we invest clients’ money in the coin in good faith and our clients get extra opportunities. That is why instead of panicking developers should put all their efforts toward support the price of their coin.

IOU tokens will be listed for trading regardless of whether developers want that or not – investments in their project are made and now they have certain obligations before the investors ("I owe you" is actually an abbreviation for IOU market) – to give coins to their investors.
