Yeah, I was wondering, is there any serious environmental groups that currently accepts bitcoins?
Could be quite good for them as they wouldn't have to deal with fees from the payment processors used for donations!

It would be completely contradictory for an environmental group to adopt crypto.  Unless it's something that's not being mined.  The amount of electricity and thus resources wasted for the mining process, is not something they are going to support.

Good god, imagine the press meltdown.

An environmental group financed by the single most environmentally destructive and waistful operation in the history of mankind besides Little Boy, Fat Man, Fukushima and Chernobyl . That would go over well.
Yeah, cause the banks where they store their money usually refrain from investing in companies that pollutes the world lol.

Do you see environmental groups endorsing banks?
I hardly believe they keep all their money in cash.

I emailed Greenpeace about it a while ago. At that point they were not interested in adopting it.
Did they say why?
I'm afraid they didn't.

Why would any environmental group accept bitcoin? it wastes so much of precious energy due to a stupid distribution model
Because it's easy to use and not controlled by governments? No transaction fees?
It's not that bad for the environment if the electricity used is renewable.
