Wait a minute... you're concerned about a 1% fee? lmao. Good luck finding an exchange that charges you nothing.

I don't know why you're so hell bent on talking down to me. The thing is...I have been into Bitcoin since early 2012. You got into it at the peak of the April bubble last year.

So I have a different set of problems managing my bitcoins than you can even imagine with your BTC5 or whatever you own.

Maybe you will understand what I mean in a couple years, provided that the bitcoin price continues to increase 7500% p.a..

Coinbase. Once you're verified and can instant buy/sell, it's pretty much problem free. Can't believe so many people here make things so difficult on themselves with international wires and bullshit. Just sign up for Coinbase.

Can you read?

Also, I do have a Coinbase account, but I want to save fees, and I want the ability to place limit orders, so that's why I'm looking for an exchange.

No not campbx! Avoid!  They have been sitting on my BTC deposit for more than 7 weeks now.  Their support is total garbage.

There is an app Coinbase trader that lets you place limit orders with Coinbase.

This is great! Thank you for pointing it out.

coinbase has paid out every time. nearly 100 btc between rates of 600 and 1000. 1 transfer was a day late *grabs pitchfork* which corresponded to the week bitstamp was facing banking issues  Shocked

Are there many reports of banks getting upset for receiving wires from bitstamp (for individuals not doing business type transactions)?  The stories I hear are sending wires out of the country and those who are obviously engaging in business activity with a personal account.

we'll there's one I found which pays and I'm reluctant to mention it because it's not the best but I worry maybe they'll get inundated and begin having lesser service.

That sort of suspicion is grounds for vehemently not recommending a service.

That being said, OP, the landscape is fairly grim right now. For occasional selling, your best bet may well be getting in the WoT and trading OTC.

Coinmkt has paid me promptly which is a hUGe difference from trying to get money from campbx. You won't get the best trading prices there but who cares at least you'll get paid.

I live in the United States and I'm looking for a US-friendly exchange.

I used to trade on Mt Gox, but now that you can't get USD out of there, I don't want to do that anymore.

How about Bitstamp? Have any Americans had problems with Bitstamp? I heard rumors that many banks will freeze you account for receiving a wire transfer from Bitstamp, but I am skeptical.

I'm just looking for a place to occasionally sell Bitcoin, not day trading or making frequent withdrawals or cashouts.

Also, I do have a Coinbase account, but I want to save fees, and I want the ability to place limit orders, so that's why I'm looking for an exchange.

Thanks.
