Yeap I totally agree.  The PCI-PCIe aren't cheap

Any money spent getting a system running using PCI>PCIe adapters or AGP video cards would be better spend on a cheap motherboard with 2+ PCIe 16x slots powered either by an amd sempron or an intel celeron cpu

Throw one of these in a PCI slot (or fill as many PCI solts as you like), use a regular mining-suited PCIe card and call it a day.

I got couple old pc lying around and I was wondering if there are some good bitcoin calculating gpus? thanks

Unlikely.  The oldest generation of cards that can run OpenCL are HD 4xxx series.  I don't think AMD made any AGP cards of that series.  Anything older is incapable of running OpenCL kernels (no programmable unified shaders) so can't hash at any speed.
