CNC quadrupled today. Don't know what happened there but I wish I owned more Cool

it quadrupled against btc. It didn't actually do anything.

Betting against btc is the worst thing you can do.

If you had 10 BTC of CNC you now have 40 BTC of CNC so yes it did do something.

I had a massive month about 2 months ago day trading and buying, holding and selling alts.

It is very high risk but also great fun and can be very profitable.

Just be sure to do your research.

And if you are doing it seriously like I did don't expect to get much sleep!

Oh yeah and ignore the BTC e trollbox  Wink

High volume serious companies :

https://bitfunder.com/market

AMC (just going into chip making)
DMC (Diablo Mining Corp https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/diablod3-1796)

https://www.litecoinglobal.com/security/CIPHERMINE (Going into multi mining - esp litecoin, dark exchange in the works, excellent rep http://kate.craig-wood.com/)

Obviously also https://btct.co/security/ASICMINER-PT (and no 5% nicked from dividends on this PT)

Canada seems to be positive, so perhaps buy CaVirtex shares: https://www.havelockinvestments.com/fund.php?symbol=VTX

good luck.

I'm just holding. When I start being fancy and trying to maximize in every way possible there's a pretty good chance I'll faceplant. What I am sure of is that I believe in Bitcoins so long-term holding is a better strategy than splitting up and opening myself up to potentially bad moves.

You could hedge BTC in one of the established altchains (LTC, DVC, and NMC all come to mind...LTC has been dropping in USD value, but is still rising against BTC) then swap back to BTC after it bottoms out. Timing is everything in this case.

Another idea is to actually buy physical goods with BTC. They tend not to lose 25% or more of their value overnight. But you'll already be in the hole quite a bit if you cash out now.

Me, I'm playing the "buy and hold" game with my existing cryptos; in the big scheme of things, this is just another small hiccup along the BTC investment road. If the price falls low enough, I may even purchase some more.

Well I'm not going anywhere Smiley   I'm holding all my BTC assets until 2015 at least.

Any good investments to make?

I woke up to see a cpl 100' of my NVC sold at 0.333 and it's now at 0.39 (!).  Sure wish I didn't have those sell orders in last night.

Hmmm there must be some opportunity in this chaos.

What's a good way to make more BTC when the bottom is dropping like a rock?
