Thanks guys,

Yeah... I missed the whole Imgur debacle earlier this year. I was reading all the threads yesterday and I saw all the scripts and info regarding how to fix all my img links.

Now just waiting to hear back from @joker_josue about having an account setup on TalkImg. Smiley

Block halving is coming.
The provided images no longer updated since the user is a bit inactive but the post itself should be easy to follow.
I'll have to see if I can get these images working again... they still exist! Wink

We have a bit of an issue with displaying images from imgur that's why those images stopped showing, even after you edit it.
but a user created a community-accepted "official" Bitcointalk image hosting website, here: https://www.talkimg.com/

Imgur links work but displaying any image from Imgur does not work it seems that Imgur blocked Bitcointalk and they don't want to host images that came from Bitcointalk. I can't find any reason why they did this.

Anyway, for another alternative https://imgbb.com/ also works fine for me.

Armory Developer
qt4,  435GB, I feel dizzy.

You are looking at 2 different things here:

- Blockchain size:

You have to have a copy of the Bitcoin blockchain. This is a design choice for Armory, it's a full wallet.

- Qt4:

That, along with py2, have been deprecated a long time ago, no modern OS support this stuff anymore. In the dev branch, there's a version that runs on py3/qt5 but it's not very user friendly. Assuming you do not want to download chain, you have 2 approaches to accessing your funds:

1. export the private keys to Electrum

2. build the dev branch from source. I'll then provide you with a remote supernode from which you can query your balance data. That will allow you to create transactions to move your funds out. This is a more involved process than the first option and will require more effort on your end than the first option. I'll try to handhold you along the way however. Up to you.

Thank you. Do I need a running Armory first to export the keys or can I directly import?
This post describes the steps on how to export the keys from your Armory and two replies below it has an example import process to Electrum.

And yes, you certainly need Armory to be able to export the keys but you don't need it to be active during import to the wallet of your choice.

Armory wallet does not work if your Bitcoin core is pruned it needs to download the whole blockchain to make Armory work and the current blockchain size is not 435GB it's more than 500 GB.

About extracting the private key you can backup the private key by going to wallet properties> backup> export key list.

If you don't want too much hassle then use Electrum wallet you can import private keys from Armory to Electrum wallet.

I still have an armory wallet. Otherwise I would not bother.

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of armory:
 armory depends on python-qt4; however:
  Package python-qt4 is not installed.
 armory depends on python-twisted; however:
  Package python-twisted is not installed.

Please advice, any help appreciated.

OMG. I just saw in another thread "Aside from the above, make absolutely sure that "prune block storage to" setting is disabled"
I need the full BTC DB and can't use prune? I have to download 435 GB?

I should have never used armory in the first place. This is a nightmare.
How can I extract the keys if I can't get amory to run and convert it to a regular bitcoin wallet?

Armory 0.96.5,  released 2018. I want to cry.  What Ubuntu version would I have to install to get armory back to work?
And if I download 10GB a day it would still take 2 months to have the blockchain.
