Hope it will not happen. If it will happen it will be somewhere in November. Miner what to increase block size limit, proposal is named "2x".
There is no reason for this as segwit is enough for now and other scaling solutions is cumming soon.

About 3 months after Segregated Witness activation, which is projected to happen tomorrow.There will be a hard fork (and a chain split) where the fork/new chain will have 2MB blocks.
Make sure you hold Bitcoin then so as to have coins on both chains.
