Too many threads with fee related issues are popping up nowadays which shows that most of these guys are unaware of where to check the best fee and get their transactions confirmed at an assured rate.

Check https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#0,24h
Based on their charts, fees ranging between 40 - 80 SATs/byte looks fine to get your transaction confirmed (at the time of writing).

Check https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/
The same range is seen to get accepted in most of the blocks and get transactions confirmed earlier than either lower fees.

The current problems with transaction fees are us only, because the "people" are paying higher so it's obvious that wherever one group of people with a very large userbase goes, then the same applies to us and we can't even boycott these people because they are too big.

Check https://bitcoinfees.info/
This one gives you an average in USD for much better understanding over how much fee can get you in the next 1, 3 and 6 blocks.

I gave all this info just in case anyone visits your thread, they may see my message and if I save even a single person from getting stuck in a transaction, I'll think that I did job much better.

The fee was 45 sat/b, why is it still unconfirmed? And why do you call this "low"?

It's a little weird that you still have problems with your transactions (this is not a first time), and that you not trying to apply the advices which you get from some members. Before send any transaction check current status of transaction fees / unconfirmed transactions, and then adjust your transaction to that. If you need quick confirmation pay highest fee, otherwise adjust the fee to number of blocks to which you are willing to wait for confirmation.

Your transaction is finally confirmed, and in this case it is mined by ViaBTC.

It's "low" in comparison to the other fees currently being paid... There are currently people paying over 100 sats/byte... and there are almost 10,000 tx that are paying more than 50 sats/byte... so your transaction looks "low" to miners.

ViaBTC worked for us 100% of the times. Sometimes it took 12-16 hours until the transaction got confirmed - from the moment of submission via the free or paid option.

Are you sure that ViaBTC is responsible for a particular transaction confirmation ? Sometimes user just see that transaction is confirmed and assume that it is because he used ViaBTC accelerator. To check that just check summary of transaction and click "Included In Blocks" number of block, there you will see who is mined that block.

Currently ViaBTC is not so lucky, no mined block for them in last 5 hours.
I also learnt when i was i the same situation that ViaBTC is definitely not responsible for confirmation of a particular transaction cause their own is include your transaction just like rebroadcasting it and most node automatic reject such transaction until the single transaction are confirmed.
I will advice you to always check the mempool status before sending transaction and set your wallet rbf on so you could increase unconfirmed transaction fee.

Due to  both relatively low fee and total input  the priority of your transaction in memory pool is not high (29854 against  71852  atm)   but  the good thing is that it is slightly increasing with time so it will be confirmed eventually.

The fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 196 satoshis/byte

As you can see the fee is to low.

You can try a free accelerator but i doubt they will work, here is a list: http://bitcoinbarrel.com/best-free-bitcoin-transaction-accelerators/

If you use a wallet like "Electrum" you can do a CPFP but keep in mind the fees will be high.

You use https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ and its not really a good choice. If you use the mempool size you will pay always lower than what this site suggests https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#0,24h

At least 10x better than the 12-24 hour estimated time for a 40sat/byte transaction  Smiley

As for Viabtc's luck, this shows that they are fairly lucky getting 1block every 6-12 blocks or an hour to two: blocks mined on 16/05/2019

I'd say, within two hours after the submission, that's if his transaction is next in the queue  Undecided

viabtc's free accelerator will work if you're fast enough to submit it right after the clock's minute hand points 12.

We've managed to do just that, so it should get confirmed now, thanks!

Note, that this does not mean that it will be confirmed in the next block.

ViaBTC is going to include this transaction into their next mined block (according to them).

Since they currently have a share of ~6.60% - 7% (depending on the source), it takes ~14-15 blocks until they mine one (on average!).
So the average amount of time it should take for your transaction to be confirmed (if they are going to include it into their next block) is roughly 2.5 hours.

It could very well be possible that they mine the next block, or no block for the rest of the day. These numbers are the average numbers.

In my experience viabtc never worked for me

@OP: are you the sender or receiver and what wallet are you using? Maybe a CPFP would help to get it confirmed right away.

That fee range currently has about 8mb of prioritized transactions above it.
If the current tx added to the mempool per sec rate decreases, there's a good chance that it would get confirmed within an hour or two.
If not, I wish you luck (this 94sat/b transaction got confirmed after 8hours).
