Cryptsy seems to be throwing a lot of support behind the coin. It is now possible with a verified account to directly trade fiat (US $) for RDD and vice versa. Reddcoin is currently trading at approx 20 Satoshis atm. My personal holdings in RDD from mining is in the upper Millions and I'm in for the long haul. For current news and projects with RDD I suggest checking out their reddit.

I had not realized Cryptsy had added an USD/RDD market!!!!!! I did get a chance to check them out on reddit and it looks like WeSellDoges.com has also purchased a domain WeSellRedd.com... That is pretty surprising!
Quite the turnaround...Cryptsy was on the verge of shutting down the RDD/BTC market and moving Redd to the Litecoin board.

i heard they are adding another 'd' to the name..

No news, but it certainly has been a profitable sleeper. It hung around 5 satoshis for the longest time and I was aching for some of my other speculations to bear fruit so I could leg in, in a big way.
It was a long wait for RDD, but worth the wait.
Unfortunately for me, I jumped off at the beginning of its run
in order to add to my NFD.

in order to add to my NFD. I bought some of this a couple of days back and transferred from poloniex to mintpal.I think it took 2 days.2000 confirmations or something like that.
Seems like a not very fast
I must say if we are talking about speed of confirmations - BanksyCoin is pretty awesome. Coin has huge supply but it works faster than Dogecoin.
Redditcoin was interesting idea but perhaps not too many followers....
