Your electricity costs are still high with that budget you can't buy any brand-new miner unless if you are planning to buy a refurbished or 2nd hand miner?

If you want to find a miner that is still profitable with that budget then try to contact offordscott
You can also try to check this https://www.zeusbtc.com/ASIC-Miner-Repair/ then try to ask them for the price and stocks. It seems that s17 pro or s17+ is the only option you can buy for that budget.

how do i simulate?

i am not going to steal electricity.

just want something to work while i work the day job.

trying to do a self project and learn something new.

and it would not hurt if i could make my money back ultimately.. at least.

because i'd be investing my savings.

i want to set up a mining rig at home and try mining.

my budget is 100000 inr or less which is equivalent to 1338 usd right now.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

i'd be happy if it gives me even 5k inr return per month for starters.

minus the power consumption ie.

thanks Undecided

If doing at home AVOID ASICs.
Your returns depends on your power and india is not cheap. Simulate using the highest slab of tariff. If you are expecting to stay in the lower band or 'free' electricity it may not be worth the risk, depending on the repercussions in the area.
A normal person stealing electricity is hard to catch, a miner is easy.
