It is being heard that bitcoin will split into two subsidiary parts to be better in use and smooth in transactions. Considering that bitcoin cash is actually based on the market cap and valuation of bitcoin it will be quite possible for bitcoin cash to decrease in value in the short term if this split happens between bitcoin.

bitcoin cash performed just like any other pump and dump altcoin has ever performed: they got dumped hard when bitcoin price dropped. that is all.

and it will continue to perform badly because it is a shitcoin that nobody in the community wants. the investors sometimes invest in it for short term as it has pumps which can be profitable and help them make more bitcoin than they have.

Every decent coin pretty much crashed in the cryptomarkets. So bitcoin cash definitely didn't underperform in terms of market price. They all crashed and is currently in the process of increasing in price by a bit.
