Ethereum Mining will end by next year when it changes from Proof of Work to Proof of stake.
It seems very few mine ETH at present, but seems it has good potential currently as bitcoin price is way to expensive so ETH may be high buying in coming time.
I am mining since February with 2x 5 GPU rigs - any questions, you can ask.

yes i mine for few days with r9 270x but its not that profitable so i stop mining
I am also mining ether. I am in Kolkata. I have 2 r9 380 ASUS STRIX in my rig. Get around 40 MH/s. At present with current difficulty I mine around 10-11 ether a month. My rig consumes around 380w for GPU + 100w for CPU. It is still profitable here.
