I noticed that coinpledger has one ad spot in the forum currently.
So they are spending money on advertising. Smiley

They have mentioned both P2P lending and short-trading in their ad.

Well, all went well with the site, but I think it is too early in the lifecycle to make a load of money.  I have mentioned some of the things here, but one last quick final review.  I opened the account and started a loan.  In the process, I lost the secret key.  They were quick to respond and helpful.  The funds were recovered quickly and easily.  Then setting up the loan process and getting it going was easy.  I left a loan there for a couple days, but, like I said it is too early for a good response.  I withdrew the funds I had put in with no more delay than it took the blockchain to confirm it.

I do not know the guys that opened the site, but I have run into them over the past few years.  I had a good experience and would at this moment say that it is on the up and up and that the only thing to worry about is whether the site itself will fold or go forward.

Anyway, I got all that information before touching the site.  I guess you guys just didn't see it.  Will keep you updated on how the rest goes.

Well, I am usually willing to drop $3 to $5 on something that has some potential, we shall see.

That s no protection. Cause they can operate and deliver at $3 but when you try to lend $3000, then they can vanish.

One word, TRANSPARENCY. If u ve got nothing to hide, dont hide it.

I have my personal investment mantra, regardless of how favorable to offer is, if there s no transparency and verifiable info about the owners, I ll pass.

Cause in 99.9% of the cases, the reason why people hide their identities is cause they plan to scam. Fuck that.

I like the interface... but I can't find any owner discussion about coinpledger.
Since they are still new , I'm quite afraid that they will run my altcoin for example if I want to borrow there...

Yes, we would need to know who is behind this website. The concept is good, but the trustworthiness of the owners has to be established.

Ok, everything seems on the up and up so far.  Here is the page for our first loan.  The service team helped a lot in getting us through a snag or two...check it out https://coinpledger.com/loffer/view_lender_offer.php?offer_id=144

Well, the service is there.  We shall see, they are transferring the deposit to a new loan that I am offering.  I will keep you guys updated.  No more than $5 on the line so either way we will learn or earn.

I saw this advertisement on this forum but want to know can we trust this site? Any one have any feedback on this site?

Thanks

It basically a Loan site. I weren't using them if I were you. It is still pretty new and it can turn out to be an awfull scam. Be careful

Well, I started off making the loan.  The process looks simple, but is a little confusing and somewhere along the way I did not make a note of the "secret".  I have the key, not the secret and have funded the loan.  It is not started and cannot be started until I recover this secret.  I got a pretty quick response last night from support about another question and I will see how they handle this one.  Will keep you updated.

It would be great if they would add some escrow form, cause it changes nothing if your lender repays and then you get scammed by the intermediary website.

Seems the process is more of a exchange than a loan.

Not really. It is a collateralized loan.
If the borrower repays you, you get interest.
If he doesn't, then you get altcoins which you have to sell.

This is quite interesting because all other lending platforms do not have any collateral system so borrower can easily scam lenders. But here if they are offering loans with collateral than it should be to try but we need only confidence the system because they are new so site itself can scam people. I will wait for some good reviews to try this site.

I'm also looking for some good reputable platforms to lending money and make some profit. Now a days in this forum lending become very competitive and also can't take accounts as a collateral so it is good to find some good alternative for lending.

Site design looks quite good and simple but only we need to know how legitimate the site is. I may try with small amount and will update here soon.

This seems interesting, like lombard loan in RL finance. I d definitely use something like that. Has anyone tested this?

Yeah, I see the difference.  You tried it at all?

No, I haven't tried it.

I put a loan out there for the minimum amount and will see what happens.  i will keep this thread posted as to how it goes.

Keep us posted. The 1% fee (0.5% on loan amount + 0.5% on collateral) can be quite a dampener for short duration loans.
I will get confidence in this site only when it establishes a substantial track record.

The concept seems very interesting.
If your loan is sufficiently covered, it might be a way to earn some interest on your idle coins.
The 0.5% fees + withdrawal fees might eat into your profits.
The most important aspect of this is to find out the people running this service, and whether we can verify that they are trustworthy.
