Hello Community,

This post is mostly for poker players, who grinds day and night for better results, but variance suck it out.

Just ask if.....

Can you do what I do?
Sure, I can, easy.

Alright, Can you keep the long hours?
Yeah, no problem. I’m used to it from my last job.

Can you keep a straight face to random absurdity?
Sure, I hope I can pull my best face.

Alright, would you be OK with losing a coin flip 90 times out of 100?
Chuck no, that isn’t possible…

Well, lets say there was this thing called variance…
I don’t care what you call it, that just isn’t right.

It happens to a lot of people, daily though.
They must be unlucky. I am not. I am lucky, I like to believe it.

Alright then, lets see how your luck goes…
registers to 5 all in one hand satties , ends up winning them all

See, I told you , its nothing but luck

Every single day is a mountain, and it sounds cliched, but imagine being at the foot of Mount effing Everest every single day.

It does feel like that to me. You got your shit going on, you could only wish you had put a word in edgewise.

It doesn’t matter..the grind must continue. No matter how far that peak maybe.

We don’t wanna min-cash these suckers, cuz we played for so long. But it doesnt matter anyway, if you cant even min-cash. All your ranges and charts got you to a chiplead at bubble (hah!)

And then. You got AKs , get 4bet jam for 60bb, and CO shows 9Tss, ends up making a 2 pair. You’re out. You played so long. For this? For one hand?

What next? @xx@xx@Xx@ 2pairs? how tf he called fkr (add expletives) , Or …maybe…. just go back to what you learnt.

Yeah, so, learn from it. make notes. understand why this “**” did what he did. would he do it in any other scenario? One of the many questions you must ask yourself, its important, dont eff around. You can play it differently, bring your own mix into the picture, and see what happens.

There is a lot of learning. Personal & Professional. There are resources out for it, for someone who wants to learn more.

At the end, if you are a devoted player, all of this is worth it. The learning, the inconsistencies, the breakouts etc.

And don’t fold that AKo for 14bb please.

Keep grinding my dudes,

Regards,

VarianceKiller
