I belive that if we will discover that bitcoin supporter won the auction then he will hold and bitcoin price will go up!

Yes, I believe they will not sell it to make market fluctuate.

You can read his coming plan in https://medium.com/@vaurum/tim-draper-wins-govt-auction-partners-with-vaurum-to-provide-bitcoin-liquidity-in-emerging-markets-88f04a1d8598 and watch http://new.livestream.com/draperuniversity/bitcoin-auction

Anyone want to predict, what will happen?

If the buyers sit on these coins for investment, the price would remain stable. If they buy it very low and sell at market price, they will flood the market and the price will drop.

If it fell with 6% when it was just announced, how much will it drop, if the coins hit the market?

Back to $400 US ?

I might be wrong but the price might drop, don't know if it will drop to $400 or not, but it will defo drop atleast $50-$100 and it will again be a good opportunity to buy some more.
Hah, waiting for the price to drop to 400 seems wistful thinking. I guess we'll find out on Monday anyway.

So does auction ended ? Price seems pretty stable at 600

Yes the auction ended. But the winner(s) won't be notified until Monday. And I have no idea when/if the final price will be disclosed publicly.

Edit: I've just learned it's public information, so we'll know on Monday.

Well I guess we got to see the positive side. If it did drop to $400 per BTC, we would have a short window of an opportunity, to buy BTC cheap, before the demand for it skyrocket again, and we double our original investment.  Grin

So a slight drop in price, would only be beneficial to anyone in the market for cheaper BTCTongue

Lets stuff our pockets, when the other panic sell.  Roll Eyes

it dropped (and may drop a bit more) , because whales use every news to make profits.
no way were going to 400$ there is simply too much support @ 500.

wouldnt be a bad idea to have some lowball offers, just in case tho

I am choosing to be optimistic. Lets face it we are all guessing. I think the price will drop around 50 us dollars on day of auction. I am seeing a lot of people predicting the coins will actually sell for higher than market price. But I feel that could be a bit optimistic.

I'm hoping this is already priced into the market, but I think there is a good chance, due to the way the bidding is structured, that the prices for the lots will come in below current market price.  I really hope I'm wrong, as from the article it looks like there are some serious bitcoin fans looking to pick up a large amount of coins without distorting the market, so I would be very happy to be wrong!

Good Luck!

IMO, the bidders probably won't sell the bitcoin in the market right away, but rather hold it for quite some time waiting for mass adoption of bitcoin (if any).
And if the winning price is much lower than the current market price, it will be a bad news and will drive the bitcoin price down right away without the bidders actually selling their bitcoin.
