For me, not yet. I just haven't been sucked in just yet though, i see a future residence here.

First of all, where did you get the idea that Second Life is a person? Second, use google if you want to know more.
Just researching about it for the first time. The idea sounds interesting...
I think it's better to call something like that "virtual world" or a simulation rather than second life. Second life sound weird and could easily be abused esp to deceive people.
I wouldn't be surprised if in the future they deceive people into thinking virtual world is spiritual world or more advanced real existence... then people would be encouraged or forced to live in that existence, while their real world is in hell, in serious problems or in choas.
