Even if you could get an ipad to mine you would earn maybe one cent in the course of a year in a denomination no pool would ever allow you to withdraw so it is a futile exercise pursuing this.

I think this thread has existed long enough and I'm locking it to prevent it being bumped repeatedly with nothing useful to add.

Is there any CPU or GPU miner for an ipad air that I can use? I am aware that it could kill my device.

I don't think you will even earn a few cents per week but you may kill your device.

invest directly buying bitcoin...
less stress...
less risk...

the right things to do now!!!

if you want to mine, do it just for fun ...

Core 2 duo 8400 = 4,33GH/s = 4MH/s
USB key BlockErupter = 333MH/s
iPad ... ARM = ahahahahahahahahahahaha  Roll Eyes

portable device can't handle 15 000 files in a simple NTFS directory with a real random feature (like the old ... very old winamp) ... so, turn and let the mining to the real adopters.

---

Buy an S3 autonomous miner ... and then, you can "monitor it" from your ipad (because you have the money to buy ipad, you have enough money to buy an S3 and let it in the garage).

As the coder of MacMiner I frequently find myself letting people down with the news that it's near impossible to mine on normal PC hardware these days - trying on an iPad I doubt you'd find a pool with a low enough share difficulty for you to ever solve one.

As to whether you'd kill the thing - unless you disable CPU throttling I think you'd be fine. Use it as a digital age hot water bottle.

If you don't own a multi-million-dollar datacenter, don't waste your time mining.

Your question does not make sense!
iPad is a mobile device
has therefore little computing power,
and especially you will kill your battery in a short time!!!

and now, or better, since months, mining is no longer profitable!!!
if you have money to invest, buy directly BTC

You cant profit mining with ipad. Even ASICs miner is hard to profit.
by the way search this on appstore "Crypto Miner" or "Bitcoin miner"

If you mine with GPU or Ipad you better mine altcoins.
