I think this is a very good question, everyone is talking about LN and it's been the buzz word ever since. But quite surprising that no sportbookies have implemented in so far and it will be a good addition or perhaps could be one way to increase it's adoption. And maybe this one is a good start, but this is 2018 so I don't know what happens. It mention though "Sportsbet.io and Bitcasino.io".

The Coingaming Group hopes to see a multitude of benefits, after revealing it has rolled out a Lightning Network closed beta test to a selection of its users.

If successful Lightning Network, “an in-development solution to the bitcoin scalability issue", will be made available across the Sportsbet.io and Bitcasino.io Coingaming brands.

Reio Piller, CTO of the Coingaming Group, has been speaking to TotallyGaming.com addressing the plus points of this latest link up: “We are optimistic our Lightning Network trial will be successful, and we’ll be first-to-market with a revolutionary technology in the space, firmly securing Sportsbet.io and Bitcasino.io at the cutting-edge of the bitcoin betting and gaming industry.

“The beauty of this trial is that it’s unlikely players will notice they’re utilising Lightning, instead they’ll just see near-instantaneous transactions, a seamless user experience and in general, the bitcoin betting experience they expect and deserve.

“In the next few months, the potential for this technology will confirm bitcoin as the go-to cryptocurrency, with customers no longer susceptible to payment lags and operators able to deliver more innovative products and services on the back of it.”

The Lightning Network allows for micropayments to be made between two parties without broadcasting directly to the blockchain, stating a reduction in transaction fees, quicker payment process and considerable increase of privacy as three benefits of such a process.

Participants instead assign bitcoin to a payment channel, and confirm the amount each party can redeem. Either party is able to close the transaction at any time, which then triggers the latest balances to be uploaded to the bitcoin blockchain.

Coingaming states that it hopes to “leverage the greater speed and flexibility this provides to cut confirmation times for payments, while also offering cheaper transaction fees".

Hhmm.. there are few casinos that implements lightning networks but most of them are not that popular compare to big gambling sites who spends thousands of dollars for advertising, that's just my assumption though.

You can find few of them here.

Some of which are:
[1] https://lightning-roulette.com/
[2] https://bc.game/home
*Note that these are just gambling sites*

The downside of playing to these platforms is that they do not have that much publicity which is a pretty much thing that needs to be consider unless otherwise you can verify their "provably fair" game.

I can't find an answer here because the question of OP is pretty specific, which is sportsbook only, not a casino.

And I am not familiar with the site that you shared, so IMO, LN is not yet in demand in gambling sites as there's a lot of option to use as payment method aside from bitcoin. With the increasing market of altcoins, that makes the gambling sites adding more alternative payment to give gamblers a comfort to select what coin/s they like to gamble so they can also choose which coins has lesser fee.

As for me, I still keep using bitcoin to gamble, fee is high only when you are gambling like 1$  to 5$, if that's your rate, then you should try the alternatives which is the altcoins with good trading volume.

I use several sportsbooks and I haven't found a bitcoin sportsbook that makes use of the lightning network. We'll probably won't see it in the near future when most of the sportsbook are accepting altcoins as the alternative solution.
As long as there is no need for that to be implemented then it is hard to see one of those casinos accepting LN payments, for now gamblers who care about the fees are using DOGE like crytos which are far cheaper and faster as well. But the casinos which are accepting only bitoin in it may consider LN payments as well which can be considered as one step forwards towards their developments.

It will be a great improvement if some casinos would support LN.

However, I think @ralle14 is correct, some casinos just choose to add more altcoins so gamblers can choose which coins could help them minimize the transaction fee. If we have dogecoin which transaction fee is very cheap, then that would be a great option already since dogecoin also has some good liquidity. But then, it's still good to see if we have a lot of option, so LN if implemented in popular casinos, it should help.

Nice finds Maus but I guess those are just lightning app games,,, not sportsbooks as requested.
Yep, those are just common gambling games only with the exception of having Lightning Network enabled. But unfortunately, as everybody said, there are no current sportsbook with LN implemented other than recently closed Microbet.

I am currently exploring how LN works just in case this system has been implemented on the gambling industry.

I think if we all go to the gambling dapps like TRON we could convince them to move to Bitcoin back and try LN,,, but the tricky one is Sportsbooks, that would be very interesting to see how it works.

So far none, if casinos will implement it that's a very good leap especially fees getting higher and higher when BTC is moving up on its value. Right now we just have to rely on sportsbook or casino that supports altcoins that has low fees and a scalable one, maybe TRX, XRP, doge.

Keep this thread up please, I like sportsbook that support LN, maybe we can get some update in the future as it looks like LN will be very much useful to sportsbook as the fees of bitcoin network is increasing, micro gamblers will be help if site supports LN.
