So I would like to buy some new Altcoins but many exchanges only have few of them.
And I do have some security concerns about always installing new wallet software.

Is there some webservice or mobile apps that let you generate wallets for many of the
altcoins?

I realize there is security risks with this, but its mainly for some quick trading of
relatively smaller amounts, to then store them externally later.

Thanks!
It seems shapeshift.io will be a good place for you to buy altcoin instantly, that requires a simple step to buy the coin from there and that was so easy in my experience.
You can try to use the coinomi wallet as the multiple altcoin wallet, but it will be better to keep every kind of your asset in the official wallet.

You can try yobit for a start then progress to other exchanges like  poloniex, bittrex etc to find one you will find comfortable to use

Thankyou very much Zicadis for your help! It is really nice and I appreciate it greatly!

I was actually eyeing shapeshift.io as it seemed rather easy, but I do need to generate the addresses somehow of the different altcoins. Sadly some coins seem to be getting sold almost nowhere, I wonder how much investors who do dive into them, and still buy them from a chinese exchange or elsewhere, profit from them once (if) they come to bigger exchanges.

Will yobit/poloniex/bittrex create the wallets for you? I checked some exchanges but they only seemed to create bitcoin wallets. Not for all the altcoins.

If you have security concerns use the projects recommended wallet and avoid multi wallets, unless they are Ethereum ERC20 tokens or wave tokens you can use https://www.myetherwallet.com/ or wave wallet respectively to hold different altcoins.

Thanks again, I did check this out already today. Its a bit confusing from all the data you get, as I was just used to getting a bitcoin address + private key and here you get so much more. Also its new to me (coming from just bitcoin) that you actually just need an ETH address to be able to receive & manage some of the altcoins.

I did find an android App, Coinomi, that will create a ton of different wallets easily for you. But yeah, myether seems safer I guess. But why is this all so complex? basically for every coin you will need to dive thru their websites and hope you get lucky you find info how to get an address, or if it can be managed from your ETH?.....
