I think little bike store sells bicycles that accepts Bitcoin payments. The value of a bike is much smaller than the value of a Bitcoin.

buy a bike with BTC this is great, maybe if a shop accepts payment in BTC, its owner is probably also a crypto enthusiast, maybe not many shops have it You can accept that, but you can search online for places that accept cryptocurrency as a means of payment.

I don't think anyone knows about any bicycle shop that accepts bitcoin because has not yet become legal in all countries of the world...

You are a classic example of a signature spammer who reads nothing but the title, just a few posts above you have a link to an online store that sells bikes for BTC, and throughout the thread there are several such links.

Not in my country and also not in my neighboring countries also. If you say of typical cycle shop that sells bicycle then it's not profitable for them to accept Bitcoins because of its high fee and volatile price nature. But maybe looking for auctions will be good idea..

@ShopinBit.de, I visited your website and since you are a German shop I was a little surprised that you do not have Bergamont bikes in your offer, and as far I know it is a German company that produces in my personal opinion very high quality bikes very popular in the EU.

As for the OP, he is from the US and someone has already suggested a website from Germany, but that is not a good option for him considering the costs of postage and customs...

I don't know if you are still looking for an E-Bike but considering the price development over the last couple of months, I guess it is save to assume that you had saved enough for the purchase by now. Wink

We are an online shop from Germany that has a German and an English interface. Among the 200k products that we offer, there are also around 300 bikes and a lot of spare parts and accessories for bikes.

You can find the bike section here: https://shopinbit.com/en/bike (And in German: https://shopinbit.de/fahrrad/)

I've been putting aside bitcoin as a means of saving for an electric bicycle, which has become a kind of obsession for me lately--I've never owned one, but I really want to get one.

While I could certainly convert my bitcoin savings into fiat and buy an e-bike from a local shop or online, what I'd really like to do is find a dealer that takes bitcoin.  I've searched the web, but I can't find any.  Some of the sites that list merchants taking bitcoin haven't been updated, and either the merchants no longer exist or they don't take bitcoin anymore.

Does anyone here know of any bicycle dealers that sell e-bikes and take crypto as payment?

Edit:  I don't know if this is the right section, so if it's not maybe a mod can move it or tell me where it should be.
Honestly I can't give option of any website to buy bicycle because the main reason is that i had never thought about it , but if you belong to india or have any friend in india then i can manage for you for direct buy with bitcoin .
Because here in my city a person have bicycle buy sell brandes shop , he accepts every type of payment , but he don't have any courier service tie-up that can send product from one country to another .
So if you need help at the condition that I told then i can help you .

your got what you are looking for an electric bicycle.
Maybe you can take the time to visit this site:

1. https://www.namecheap.com/

You can choose the domain you want, for example electric bikes, cars, etc.
You can talk directly with them, you are free to ask about anything.

If you are also interested in other items you can also visit this site:

1. https://www.amazon.com/

For example, clothing, watches, children's needs etc.

Pay with bitcoin.

Be careful when transacting.

Popping up on my watchlist reminded me to post in this thread. Since I frequently search for new and interesting places to spend my bitcoin, I've been keeping an eye out for any bike shops that I may come across. It's not something that I personally have any interest in, so I would quite easily have glossed over them otherwise. I've come across the following two US based sites:

https://www.ebikejoy.com/

https://reallygoodebikes.com/

Both seem to have a pretty decent range of eBikes, and both have the Bitcoin logo down at the bottom. Same caveat as before: I've never used either and can't vouch for their trustworthiness.

Will you agree to go to any country where an electric bike is sold for bitcoins?
No.  I can assemble an e-bike myself, so I'm just looking for the whole shebang shipped to me in a box.  I'm not looking to do any travelling to get the bike, and I honestly didn't think it'd be hard to find a vendor in the US, which is where I'm at.  I'd be more than happy to buy from an overseas bike dealer as long as the instructions and whatnot are in English.

Some of the bikes various members have linked to aren't bad.  They just aren't what I'm looking for exactly, which is a commuter bicycle powered by electricity.  Not a bike with front and back springs (mountain) or a fold-up bike that you keep in your trunk.  Something on the higher end of the wattage range for e-bikes, too.

You did not specify your country of residence. Will you agree to go to any country where an electric bike is sold for bitcoins? In my opinion, it will still be easier to change Bitcoin to a local fiat and quietly buy such a bike in the shop near you. So it will be much easier.

Ugh, those bikes are really bad-looking, plus they're not electric.

Here also you could have take the try to buy e-bike with their nature coin or bitcoin as their article says.
https://www.50cycles.com
Taking a quick look at that site leaves me in doubt that they take bitcoin, since they don't have the BTC logo mixed in with the rest of the payments they accept.  The range of e-bikes isn't too bad, however--but this isn't the type of retailer I'm looking for.  A lot of what they carry is for trail riding, and that isn't my thing.  I'm looking for a decent commuter e-bike and like I said, the Specialized Vado is kind of the model for what I seek.

Unfortunately, there are practically no such payment options at all. Why do not you want to exchange your money?  Smiley
Because that's my thing right now.  I'd like to get an e-bike and I'd like to pay for it with bitcoin.  I've been into cycling for many years but never tried anything with a motor.  It could extend my range greatly, and it's an insanely cool concept in my mind--just like bitcoin is.  Why not blend the two together?

The Netherlands is probably the best place on earth to find your e-bike. It is also place more likely to accept Bitcoin (if you ask, they might do it, shop to shop, I've found). oeleo's German suggestion is not surprising as they are (despite what they say) cousins.

I don't know your exact model and it might be different in Dutch but here are some bikeshops online who are listed on an old Bitcoin site (they usually have trades on maarktplaats, which is another huge place for p2p bikes if you're into 2nd hand).

I don't know yet!You can talk with some local bicycle store and I hope they will accept BTC. If you have the way to do it, please share with us.

Have read this lines by pharmacist or not.

I'm not looking for a list of places to spend bitcoin.  I'm specifically looking for an e-bike retailer that accepts crypto.  Please don't post here unless you have a good suggestion.  Thanks.

Here are all the shops that sell different goods for cryptocurrency you can choose a product and store, as well as cashback
That looks like simply a bitcoin rewards program, not a list of merchants that take bitcoin.  I read their FAQ, and you have to buy items from those places with fiat and you get bitcoin as the cash-back reward.

The e-bike I really want is a Specialized Vado, which is a really slick set of wheels.
Did a little bit of searching, found this:

https://webshop.bestbike.de/us/bikes/specialized/turbo-vado-como/

It's a German company, which accepts bitcoin and have a range of Turbo Vados. It does look like they only provide in-store purchase of their Vados though, so you would have to organize shipping with an external company, which would not be cheap. And obviously, I have never used this company, so DYOR (although they seem to have decent reviews on both Google and Facebook).

Searched up on https://flash.newegg.com/search?keyword=ebike but it doesnt have a price and cant be purchased yet it do states it starts on April 22. Try to check it out.
Yeah, that's a folding bike and I'm not looking for something like that.  I'm also a semi-frequent Newegg user and have browsed their site for bikes.  The thing with Newegg is that they only accept bitcoin if the item is sold by Newegg itself, and most stuff is sold by independent vendors.  I tried to buy one of those classic NES systems with bitcoin but when I got to the checkout the "pay with bitcoin" option was gone.  All the other things I've bought with bitcoin there were sold by Newegg.

Thanks for the suggestion, though.  I do appreciate it.

It might be worth your while talking to the owner of a local store and just ask if they accept BTC,

That's already been suggested and answered:

You could always try inquiring in your local area - you never know, you might be able to convince a small independent retailer to let you pay in bitcoin.
I'm not a good negotiator and don't have great interpersonal skills, so I doubt I'd be able to convince a local bike shop to take bitcoin if they don't normally do so.

Edit:

Awwwww, man!!  That is exactly the kind of shop I'm looking for!  Though I probably won't end up buying a bike from them (expecially with the expense of shipping an already-expensive bike from Germany), I'll bookmark their site just in case--and yeah, I saw that BTC symbol down at the bottom where they list their payment methods.  Thanks for that find!

It might be worth your while talking to the owner of a local store and just ask if they accept BTC, it has worked for me on a couple of occasions where the people in question are clued in - but it might not be that easy if you have to have to explain the entire concept and construct also check your local regulations regarding the legality of electric bikes, some cities are not friendly towards them

I have searched and found that spendabit.co provides the way to buy the bike or bicycle with bitcoin.
Thanks for that link.  I checked it out, and most of the bikes were from overstock and I've seen them, but there were some that I hadn't on the other sites.

The e-bike I really want is a Specialized Vado, which is a really slick set of wheels.  I don't think many traditional bicycle shops carry that model, and I'm guessing I'm going to have a very hard time trying to find a retailer selling Specialized bikes and who takes bitcoin.  But I can wait.  I'm still saving up, and these bikes aren't exactly cheap.  I've owned cars that cost less than what some e-bikes are going for.

Fancy.com also accept crypto, and by the looks of things, have a few electric bikes to choose from on there as well. I have never used that site, however, so cannot vouch for it one way or another.
Never heard of fancy.com, but I just visited it and found it confusing as to what it is exactly--but maybe I'll take a closer look in a bit.  Thank you for that suggestion.

I definitely knew overstock.com accepts crypto but never thought to look there for e-bikes.  Perhaps I'll take a look.  I have browsed their site for fountain pens, which I'm a passionate user of and found that they only had a bunch of cheap knockoffs, and the really good ones weren't offered at attractive prices--and I'm not eager to spend bitcoin on pens anyway.

I'm not a good negotiator and don't have great interpersonal skills, so I doubt I'd be able to convince a local bike shop to take bitcoin if they don't normally do so.  My experience with several bike shops in my area has been pretty poor anyway; the employees tend to be gruff and impatient.  Typical New Englanders.

Thanks for replying to my thread, Dr. Leo.

Overstock.com certainly have a few a electric bikes, and last time I ordered from them I could pay in bitcoin (or a selection of other cryptos). I'm not aware of them changing their policies or no longer accepting crypto.

Fancy.com also accept crypto, and by the looks of things, have a few electric bikes to choose from on there as well. I have never used that site, however, so cannot vouch for it one way or another.

I'm not aware of any specialist bike shops which accept crypto though. You could always try inquiring in your local area - you never know, you might be able to convince a small independent retailer to let you pay in bitcoin.
