Definitely a phishing site. It's pretty obvious to tell, especially since if you try to log in you get to an error page. If you find out fast enough and they don't have an automated script on changing your password, you would be able to change password before they find out.

I just reported that site on https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/
How do I report a phishing site to Mozilla? for firefox users.
From what I know Mozilla doesn't have their own special system dedicated to catalog corrupted sites, they are using Google Catalog for that purpose.
Just reporting this site to google will probably alert lesser browsers as well.

Just tried to log in with a random account. It gave me a 404 error when I did that.
It redirected me to this link: https://fanbitcoin.com/index.php?action=login2

An idea: We could spam the phishing site with wrong account info...
That sounds really fishy when you get an error when you try to login. Not smart if people really try to login with there login and password of Bitcointalk. Maybe can the admin of Bitcointalk try to trick the people of that site to a account they want. Possible other accounts will be linked with the person who try to fish people.

Official bitcointalk archive is bitcointa.lk

I don't believe bitcointalk has an official archive.   Undecided

As said by theymos, these sites are either phishing or just looking to profit on ads.
I don't see ads placed on this site so either is phishing site or archive of bitcointalk.using you bitcointalk username and password there is risky

I think this fanbitcoin.com is a phishing site to steal your data.

Ah ok that clears things... so they are just phishing for passwords?
That or helping others by keeping archive of posts, so that a reference is available even if the original post is edited/deleted.

Well if it's a live copy of pure HTML threads or posts that are deleted and/or edited here will show the same data there... or i must be missing something

Weird thing is, the database is updated live. So this site actually has access to the real database? I'm very confused and worried now....
It aint database   Roll Eyes , it just copies the information publicly available. I use it regularly along with bitcointa.lk , but ofc do not use your pass on any of the archive sites.
