Bitcoin FTW!
60 cards are alright as long as you get the 4gb cards and not 2gb. They're still in fairly high supply, nice for use in a htpc after mining is obsolete. Also uses one or no power connectors, nice and quiet operation if fan is set low. There are also fanless but slightly more expensive models for the 460. Not sure about the 560. Resale will also be rather nice for em, can't hurt to buy a few.

i have 4 amd cards, 360, 2 x 460 and 8870.   75 watts for 360 and 460 is a lot cheaper on electricity.  its worth since any mining right is good till the burst is over

Since there seem to be no 4/5 70/80s anywhere on earth right now is anyone else considering building their rigs with 60 series cards in the mean time?

I can pick up 6no. Sapphire 560 pulse cards for £570 (£95/each)
I guess these would run about 12-13mhash each total 72mhash
At would consume maybe 60W each total 450ish

According to crypto compare that should yield about £320/month
So a 1.7month turn around to break even

My supplier has told me he can't get more 70/80 cards in for another month so they be 60% the way to breaking even by that time
Then once I swap the cards out to the 70/80s I'll just pop the 60s in old rig set ups for another few weeks to break even and then just leave them trickling some income in....

Thoughts?
