I promoted Ledger for a long time on my website and sometimes on Twitter, but without much success because people still think $50 is too high price - so they opt for free solutions and invest that money in some coin/token. After the Ledger database hacking, I stopped these activities because it did not seem right to me to promote a company that behaves so carelessly according to the data of its users.

@Little Mouse, it's not bad to try to earn something and also educate others about the advantages that these devices offer compared to desktop or mobile wallets. Success depends on the purchasing power of your compatriots and how seriously they take investing in security.

If you already have a site and article about hardware wallets created, I don't see a reason why not to put affiliate links. it will not significantly disrupt the concept of the site, most bloggers do that.
though I don’t think one should expect anything serious from there, it depends on your site audit. in the end, if that profit would cover at least your domain and hosting expenses and it is still something.

It is very hard to make something serious from already established and well-known products.

Most importantly you should try it first. Start promoting your hardware wallet affiliate on various social media. but you have to explain about the hardware wallet that you offer, what its advantages are and make the advertisement as attractive as possible so that people are interested in buying and using it.

What I'm planning is to promote an article (comparative) on hardware article with an affiliate link.

Do you think it will be a good idea to promote hardware wallets here?
I'm only confused about whether a paid promotion would be a good idea or not.
You might want to specify which type of paid promotion you're referring to... AFAICR, nobody has tried such a thing on this forum [both for ad slots & signature campaigns - I could be wrong]. However, the former has a dedicated "impression count" page that you could refer to.
- Having said those, I've tried something similar before [2 years ago] with both targeted Facebook and YouTube ads and for $200 combined, I only got less than 30 clicks [I do know that a lot has changed since then, but Facebook had a lot of fake views and likes]. In other words, I don't think it's worth it.

Anyone here involved with affiliate marketing for a hardware wallet? I have one crypto-related blog in my local language for a long time and I have some regular readers. What I'm planning is to promote an article (comparative) on hardware article with an affiliate link. Does anyone have such experience? In my local, the crypto users are not so many aware of having a decent wallet. Do you think it will be a good idea to promote hardware wallets here?
Why wont you try? You cant prove something if you wouldnt try out. So its better to take some shot if you do look that this would be ending up a good result since you had mentioned that crypto users in your place isnt that much aware about wallets but time comes by where knowledge is there and of course that HW are main suggestion on keeping up their crypto for long term.

When it comes to affiliation then this isnt something simple for you to convince out people to use up that link which is common but as i said earlier that
you wouldnt know unless you try. I dont have experience on this though but for sure there are users on this forum had already tried out.

I forgot to say that starting from June 12th Ledger hardware wallet is changing the way how their affiliate accounts are working to improve security after multiple embarrassing hacks/leaks they had.
They have dedicated Telegram group for that purpose and for more information you can contact them on their email [email protected] before starting anything.

You should also consider how your readers usually buy their stuff. If there are a lot of resellers selling the product on other marketplaces, and they're generally trusted (even though the practice is not that good), there's a chance that they'll buy from there instead of your affiliate link. At least that's how it is in my country.

Of course, if profit is not your main goal, you can try to put your link on whatever website you own.

My recommendation: Since you said that your audience aren't that aware of hardware wallets, then instead of displaying a hardware wallet banner on your blog posts, display a link to a blog post concerning hardware wallets that you've written instead. Tell them how necessary HW wallets are, the risks of not using one, you know the drill.

Imo, hardware wallets is the best(morally and ethically) product to promote on a cryptocurrency-related blog. You earn money off sales, and your audience gets to (hopefully)learn a lot more about security. It's a win-win!

It's only bad when you promote anything shady or lie. If you're worried about losing credibility because of this, I wouldn't worry about it as long as your content is as objective as it can be and your readers are informed about the affiliate links beforehand. Some may not agree with the latter but this still relies on trust so it's better to be upfront of anything always.

I used to have ads for both ledger and trezor on my site, a grand total of 4 devices were sold using my affiliate link, giving me a net profit of just a couple of bucks Smiley

Truth be told, i'm not a marketer... I just threw some banners online and never actually looked at the output...

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
I did with ledger affiliate, I have more than 400 eur profit the time when they release the nano X.
What I only did is hire someone on fiverr to make a content for the ledger s and x reviews and comparison of other hw, publish it on my website, do social media posts and do some little seo and it paid off.

I'm not going to shill, my site is a local crypto blog which is very helpful to the readers. I can't shill with them of course. As I have written above, I will create a guideline-type article and compare Ledger, Trezor, and Safepal with every detail and users are free to choose.
I'm only confused about whether a paid promotion would be a good idea or not. Anyone with such experience would be a good help for me.

Do you think it will be a good idea to promote hardware wallets here?

I think that more people should have and use properly a HW. This should make much less funds getting stolen or lost. So imho it's a good idea, as long as it's a review/promotion and not blatant shilling.

hardware article with an affiliate link. Does anyone have such experience?

I do have a HW affiliate id, I've posted some 3-5 times links with my affiliate id on twitter, especially when special promotions ran, but nobody has bought from my links. But I don't use twitter as much as I could get to actually monetize that.
So all I can tell is that at least Ledger does have easy to use affiliate links.

Do you think it will be a good idea to promote hardware wallets here?
It will be good, and that does not mean you should limit your affiliation to only hardware wallet because you will need to diversify. You may need to make use of YouTube for the affiliation, you can even have your own site for it. Which means you will also focus on other things that will create traffic into your website and YouTube channel. You can even earn more money if people visit your site or channel often, that is another opportunity you will have as an affiliate marketer. You will earn from your website and channel, you will also earn from the products you are marketing, this is a good idea, but do not focus on only hardware wallet, you can also create relevant articles and videos about other things important about cryptocurrencies just to create traffic.

If you already own a hardware wallet it would be a good idea to add honest review for that wallet with affiliate link, but don't just shill it like some prefect device.
Write about positive and negative sides for specific wallet and teach your readers How to buy a Hardware Wallet the right way.
I don't have any website or blog for this purpose but I know several people who are doing this on their youtube videos all the time.
