Funds got bounced back with no details why.
Two weeks in and I'm 8% down just from all the fees and exchange rate.

Now I'm considering bitfinex and bitstamp.
Which should I choose for cheaper and faster option.

Both need to have verification done before wire. bitfinex is cheaper, get a ref code will save you 10%   fee. Actually, i like bitstamp personally.

ok thanks for all your replies! really appreciated.

If your deposit does not get confirmed within 5-7 business days, you are in trouble!  And the btc-e support would make you know what is nightmare! Generally speaking, btc-e is a pretty good exchange if you do not need support.

Some banks have no idea the routing to the final bank via SWIFT. Not always but it would help bank operation and might shorten the transfer time.  Smiley

Take it easy Wink

so does anyone know why they gave us the correspondent bank infos if its not needed its very confusing??

I hate to wait here in limbo afraid of any problem that may arise from the transfer and another problem is the rising price of btc!  Sad

edit:i missed the train for a few ipo's i really wanted!! this is why bitcoin will do us good!

in 10years time, we will see people selling fiat notes and coins as bloody antiques!  Angry

If you intention is to buy BTC, go with Bitstamp. They are not anonymous, they have offices, location, etc.

This is nonsense. Gox was not anonymous, had offices, DUH!!!!!!!!!!

BTC-E wires work just fine; I have done Swift to them from online banking, copy-pasting all the fields, money arrived in a few business days. Most people who have problems sending them wires have probably no experience or did a poor job filling out paper forms. I am not in the USA; from US banks they don't accept wires afaik.

Their BTC prices are cheap and so are wire fees - and no stupid verification paperwork if you are willing to wait the 4 weeks. Tell me one other exchange that gives you that choice! Transaction fees are quite low, too.

Just their minimum wire is a whopping $2000 :-(

few days past and no signs of deposits in my account.  Sad

why would they include correspondent bank details if its not needed?

right now im feeling paranoid.
if only I get some kind of notice that nothing is wrong with the transfer details, I would have better patience.

BTC-e is essentially anonymous, but int.wire.
So, you need your verification has been processed firstly.

wire to btc-e could bring you some trouble. if this is your first time wire transfer btc-e will hold your money for verification and sometime it could be a few weeks.

i went to the bank thinking they should know what they're doing! man was i disappointed, the teller basically went asking every other banker there is, even the manager doesn't know what to do. Stayed there for one hour and came back within few mins i get the answer i needed!

Hi everyone, im trying to make a international bank transfer to BTC-E,
i just came back from my bank unsuccessfully.  Cry

Please advice on what i do with the following details that is in BOLD.
My bank told me that their computer software does not have the option of adding correspondent bank details.
So how do you guys do it? Do you guys leave that bit out, or do you guys attach that bit to the "additional message"
and my bank is going crazy on why i don't have the contact details for this recipient. all i gave them was [email protected]

Just leave it out.. it's usually not necessary with SWIFT payments. Don't add it to the additional message as that could interfere with the payment reference/details of payment which you do need.
