Are you sure you didn't accidentally click your BTC balance when sliding in a buy order? I know it sounds dumb and an elementary mistake, but there have been plenty of people (including me, once) who've done it. Otherwise, Poloniex is a pretty well-developed site and I doubt there would be glitches like that in their system.

In the left panel where it says BUY i have entered amount of X to buy (10000) and it used all my BTC to buy that X coin. Where is the option to click BTC balance and is it better to use the STOP-LIMIT panel then?

did you check the trade history and see how this happen ? like did the order was proceeded with the same rates that you wrote while buying ?
If they give you more than what you paid for, maybe it is an error and they will charge you later for them

Hi Guys,

I never had any problems with Poloniex but today i tried to buy about 10000 X altcoins and Poloniex gave me 40000 instead. all my BTC were used in the transaction. I have contacted Poloniex but no answer yet. Have any of you ever had this same problem that you place an order and Poloniex uses all ur BTC for the order? I like them alot but this is weird.
