Slush paid out the 70K back namecoins.
It litterally doubled my daily "take". Granted difficulty is 4x higher so namecoin is "only" a 30% bonus but I will take that while it lasted.

I have just the opposite experience, bitcoins come in quickly but namecoins never did, I given up and mine bitcoins solely
at masterpool.eu only NMC earnings have been confirmed, how long until I am able to see/payout my BTC earnings?
It takes quite awhile for BTC confirms,guess they set it up that way.Took 5 days for my .27 BTC to confirm,while 8 NMC was almost instant

Namecoin difficulty goes x4 in 14 blocks...
you wont get paid out at these pools until the pool finds a block, that's why nmc pays out faster(easier to find nmc blocks)
My BTC is paid as usual, but the NMC part is still calculating or something to that effect.

Check out Simplecoin, we've found quite a few NMC blocks with merged mining. Likewise the btc should follow with appropriate hashrate.
