Hello there,

does anyone have a 1030 4gb mining (its definitely 4gb not the usual 2gb) ? Wondering what output it gives...
i sold rx 480 stuck in my pc for nothing at 420$ and buoght 1030 just for operating os, because is the cheapest gpu for run 4k60 monitor

so dont think this gpu capable earning some bucks these days, and not worthed to wait for thath, atleast you can learn gpu mining by this

both 2 and 4 giga versions have a really low hashrate so they are medium / low range but on their side they also have really ridiculous energy consumption, then the real efficiency depends on the coin you want to mine, i can still mine on the verthash algorithm with the 2gb version?

I have seen videos on Youtube this card mining Vertcoin even at 2 GB just a couple of months ago, right now 4 GB can do that I believe also and I have seen that it does like 0.20-0.25 VTC daily. The power consumption is really low so if you have one such card it doesn't hurt to let it mine Vertcoin,I doubt it can perform better in other algorithms.
2 GB version of Nvidia GT1030 gives about 100 Kh/s while mining verthash algo. It seems to me that the most profitable algo for this card is CN_GPU — 240 h/s. More information about this card is here: https://www.cryptoprofi.info/?p=8338. I think there is no difference in performance on most of the algos between 2 and 4 GB versions. Latter GPU is more universal because it's possible to launch mining ERGO, FIRO, most of ethash coins, etchash, etc.
What profit per day will the miner get in dollars?
Most miners, when they do the math, will not engage in useless calculations.
Even in your article it is written that this video card is not adapted for constant mining:
"Poor cooling of the power supply circuit plus the lack of cooling / blowing leads to serious breakdowns like this (burnout of the SM3319 field-effect transistor)"

If the card isn't the 2GB version then you can use it to mine ravencoin, I think this is the most profitable coin for 1030 GPUs, try using Nicehash to benchmark and see the most profitable algorithm to mine

Stick it on NiceHash and you will find out....

People were selling 1030s for $150 earlier this year and you can still get $100 easily on Craigslist from desperate gamers. That would have netted you more ETH than you would be able to mine in 5 years if you bought when ETH pulled back to $1700 just a few months ago. Unless that's your only available card it doesn't make financial sense to mine with it.

If you mine Ethereum Classic on it, then the profit will be 20 cents per day or $ 6 per month.
This is very little profit and a waste of time.
I would not mine on it with free electricity, I would sell the video card.

1030 gives only 5-7 MH/s while mining Ethash-coins.

This card is still very good for ravencoin, you can mine up to 128 ravencoin per day at 7+MH speed, that's 27$+ per month if that's not too small for you but these cards are good because they consume less power

They are low end graphic cards that can be found in OEM build computers, you can still use the card to mine coins that requires 4gb vram like ergo and ravencoin or even Ethereum classic
These video cards are also sold in stores as OEM and BOX versions. The price is about 100 dollars.
Most simple games can be played on the GTX 1030 4 GB video card, but this is where the functionality of this video card ends.
I think that the GTX 1050 ti 4 GB can still mine certain coins, but most miners have already stopped buying these video cards.

I have one into an office machine, I wouldn't try to mine nothing, this little Pascal chip is too weak for mining purposes.

Hello there,

does anyone have a 1030 4gb mining (its definitely 4gb not the usual 2gb) ? Wondering what output it gives...
This is a graphics card commonly found in office computers where a weak GPU is needed for minimal tasks.
The cooling of this video card is not designed for mining.
This is a very weak video card and the profit will be minimal, and if the electricity is paid, then there will be no profit.
