Goal of this topic :
When we are having local specific merit sources why not board specific ones ?

A little talk about analysis, so before we have to know the meaning of the analysis? analysis: can be categorized as the person responsible for research, planning, recommending the selection of software used by members of the Bitcointalk Forum.
So the main analysis must have expertise: analysis, technical, interpersonal and monderator Forum. The most important thing is to understand the behavior of members of the Bitcointalk Forum and its functions, it can identify the best possibilities and analyze problem solving?

In this case the analysis must carry out the system as follows in order to achieve maximum results,
Example:

1. Interact with members of the Bitcointalk Forum to understand the system / device needs that are used such as: computer CPU etc.

2. Interacting with (administrator) of the Bitcointalk Forum to express what is desired for a software and hardware, Interacting guides the program in the process of developing systems / ways / problems / Merit, so that it remains on track when Doing something about the Bitcointalk Forum.

3. testing the system with either sample data or real data to help bitcointalk members

4. testers Implement new systems / proposed systems? the Bitcointalk Forum will be used. Prepare quality documentation.

Well the point is:
I give Example:

(Expert in the field of analysis Merit):

1. [LoyceV][History:analysis:Merit]

2. [theymos][History:analysis:Merit]

3. [Coin-1][History:analysis:Merit]

4. [John (John K.)][History:analysis:Merit]

5. [mprep][History:analysis:Merit]

6. [Luke-Jr][History:analysis:Merit]

7. [-ck][History:analysis:Merit]

Maybe? can it help you to implement a Merit analysis system on Meta or locally?

@Helena the thread you highlighted is a comparison of posts in each subsection but not the merits.

The DdmrDdmr's "Bitcointalk merit Dashboard" was already suggested by @Lafu. It is why I suggested this one because, in the Title 4 in the thread, you will find the "Merit per post  Ratio", a different approach.

4. Merit per Post Ratio

With the previous data, we can derive the average merit per post for all forum Subsections. This may be useful to compare how easy/difficult it is to get merited in one section vs another.
The ratio is constructed simply by dividing the total number of posts by the total sMerits awarded to posts in the section for a given period of time (6 month; last month).
Now obviously this is not the probability of getting merit on a given post or section (as it mixed all sorts of posts with no filter), but from a macro perspective, it could allow us to compare sections based on this indicator.

For example, the Spanish Local ratio is now of 0,033, while the Italian is 0,065 and the Portuguese 0,036. This means that both the Spanish board and the Portuguese board have the same ratio of merit per post, while the Italian is nearly double. Looking further at the data on the table, the Spanish board made nearly twice as many posts as the Italian last month, and got nearly the same amount of merit (thus the ratio is half of the Italian board). Italian Posting and Portuguese are alike though in volume, but ratio is quite different between them.

This has to be taken with care, since it does not account for quality of the posts, how many are spam, etc. It is at least a curious exercise to do.

You will see a conversation we had about what's the most merited board if you read the whole thread.

None of these is showing board wise analysis. Checked twice.
Either you haven't checked the list from Piggy or you were not able to find it.
From Piggy's analysis, each and every board was mentioned and it was clearly pointed which board/section got how much merit. Have a deep look and I believe, you will find all the info from Piggy's analysis.

1. How much merits were given for each section
If you are going to do an analysis about merits, it is better to compare the percentage values rather than the numbers. This data I get from Bitcointalk Merit Dashboard (by DdmrDdmr) and he updated to the latest merit data available as at 28th september 2018.

Your thought is wrong.

In my observation, most of highly established people and most of merit sources are ONLY active here in meta (and in local sections) for finding high-quality posts.

Your thought is wrong. Almost all local board have a merit source. And they are also meriting on others board also. Questions is about quality post. Even I am not a merit source but I visit Altcoin Discussion & Bitcoin Discussion board lately to help newbie. But problem is there isn't much quality post.
Only a few local sections don't have sources now.

In as much as I strongly agree with your point, it is vital that forum members get to know and understand the platform well. You could be the champion of a particular board or section, yet take sometime to visit other boards, even for the sake of education.

Could anyone do statistical analysis for
1. How much merits were given for each section
2. Select few ACTIVE members and find how many merits they have given to various sections of this forum.
