Thanks for the clarification. I've thought for once that by seeding any torrent, I would automatically earn BTT within a short time frame. This article helped me understand better how BitTorrent Speed works. This is a very clever idea from the TRON Foundation as it will increase encourage people to maintain torrents alive, while earning some money in the process. When someone pays BTT in order to download torrents faster, it benefits seeders in many ways. This model is somewhat similar to decentralized blockchain storage systems like Sia and Storj where you'll earn tokens according to the number of people using your bandwidth.
I have been experimenting with the beta version of BTT speed as well.
Uploaded about 100GB last week and earned 25 BTT.
Ofcourse this is not much, but it's an incentive to keep uploading and make the network stronger. I like the idea.
Dont forget to put your finished downloads on "seeding" only. Otherwise they sometimes will drain your BTT wallet a bit (still beta).
Thanks for the kind advice. I didn't thought that I would lose my BTT if I left BitTorrent Speed activated. I've now set my finished downloads on seeding only, for greater results. I'm so hyped right now with BTT as it has potential of becoming something big within the not-so-distant feature. Its success will largely depend on how many people use it within the mainstream world. The merge of both BitTorrent + TRON is an excellent idea, in my opinion.
All in all, I wish long-term success for TRON and the BitTorrent project. Waiting for BTT to reach at least $0.01 per coin.
