This is a scam. Some people will offer you tempting offers to join their exchange. If you research those websites well, you will understand how they are prepared to trap you. This website has also given you a message for the same purpose, now if you can't control yourself, you may incur huge losses. Now that lots of fake phishing websites are available online, everyone should be careful.

It's a scam, of course. This is just another clone of some exchange created to steal your money. This isn't just one website, but as logfiles has already said, a lot of them have been circulating on Discord and Telegram groups and scammers are using them to deceive people.

So it's best to stay away from these too:

The process is:
Pay single payment of 0.01BTC for wallet verification. (Around 500euro)
Pay single payment of 0.03BTC for premium account. (Around 1,500euro)
Pay another 0.1BTC (20% tax of your 20k "winnings which is around 4,000euro)

All that so that you might withdraw your "winnings" of 20k + your deposits.

They keep asking money... In the end, they will probably tell you that you won by accident and that you can't withdraw anything.

winxtrade.com is a scam site and must be avoided at all costs

Did you try to communicate with the user who sends this offer to you?

No, should I?

not because there is no point. you certainly can't even contact him because it is a short-term created account just to invite some users and go on. Which real business operate in that way.

Also, if it is a scam, is there anything that can be done to get it shut down at the very least? Where can I report it? Would legal action bring any sort of results?

No, you can't do almost anything to stop fraud like this. just spread the word and warn others of this scam. Some people will say, you can report them to his domain register, Namecheap in this case https://who.is/whois/winxtrade.com
probably sending email to [email protected]

Yes, it's a scam. They use a pre-made template for this "exchange" website and ask for BTC deposits for verifications or withdraws.

Most clones are already down, but they are a 1:1 clone of this one. Take a look at this post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53533153

This is a scam for sure. Don't send any amount of BTC there, you will surely be left without him. There is no bonus or anything.
It is well known a scam scheme if you do some research, you will see only feedbacks with a big SCAM in front. Almost every day I receive a message like this on Discord, promoting something with a huge welcome bonus.
btw. Did you try to communicate with the user who sends this offer to you?

I made an account after seeing some advertisement on a Discord server about sign-up bonuses, but now they're asking for an additional deposit of at least 0.01 BTC for "external wallet verification."

Asking for an additional deposit is not a good sign and i will suggest you to research properly before putting your name to the victim list.

Will you please provide more details about the website?

To get more information you can visit this sections pinned post area and don't forget to archive the current website. If you are planning to trade then you have plenty of trusted exchange options in your hand. Do not run after welcome bonuses or something similar which may increase the chance of getting scammed.

I know that is not necessarily a red flag, lots of exchanges, especially European ones, ask for this as Proof-Of-Ownership, but the amounts are usually much smaller.

I made my account here just to ask about this because I'm really hoping I haven't been scammed.
