Well yes I do think you are right about this. It was the celebrities and alot of hype that did come with all of it. It was time there was so many of them hyping a nft we did not know what to think about it.
But in 2024 there was still alot of people investing in them. $8.8 Billion of nfts was sold in this last year and it was $100 Million more then year before this. So there still is alot of interest in them just not for me.

Most of altcoins are dead now, are they scams too? Last altcoin season was first real NFT bull run, and they went higher then anyone thought, so obviously they are dumping like crazy after first pump. Because not only there are ton of disbelief, distrust and fear in the markets, the lack of liquidity compared to market caps in NFTs was a problem that most altcoins didn't have.

I am not pro or against NFTs, but i am quite annoyed how much people criticize NFTs for the same reasons they should criticize altcoins, but are not doing that.

Fungible altcoins are way more mature scene, and had way more scams and rug pulls, and from what i can see, there's still money to be made both with right alts and right nfts. I wouldn't recommend either to anyone who doesn't want take high risks though.

Absolutely! Anyone can create an image using a free AI image generator and list it to the markets like Opensea for free using Matic chain. After AI image generators came into existence, the NFTs are overflowing in the market which has no utility at all.

Generally speaking, the market is overflowing with dead coins as well. We don't need those. There has to be a way to clean those out.

They do keep on flooding out the entire market on which its true that when it comes to utility then these images doesnt really give up a damn thing when it comes to usage. It is really just that basically driven with pure hype but there are some NFT's that do able to make it through on getting or gaining up that too much value on which it do raises up some questions into some minds on how the heck these images do able to get up such value? considering on how easy to get some pic online and upload it into nft markets and put up some price and viola there's some potential buyer that might be able to buy that shit image without having any usage and utility. On the time or moment that you do find yourself having some interest with NFT's then be careful on what you are dealing into.

Take for example for this one.

No, I wasn’t in the last bull run & I’m not now. I think good for you if you made money in the 2020/2021 bull run when NFTs were trending & popular amongst crypto users but I think lots of them are a scam, they have no real world utility & often the only people making serious money with them are the people who release them. They usually trend downwards in price. Lots of the popular ones from a few years ago have cratered to a fraction of what they were worth. Not for me, sorry.

You've been in the business for a long time and I guess that you have an idea that most of the people here are aware of the current trends in the market. Most of the NFTs are a no-go anymore because of how hyped they were before. But this time, it's not going to be as good as what you're thinking anymore. If you can make more NFTs, how can you determine the value of it and thus, look at this NFT trend that have dropdead already.

People did not lose interest in the NFT's only because of their hype before. In fact, hype can make them FOMO on it. It was still related to hype on why people are not really that into NFT's anymore. It is due to the fact that the hype around it have greatly declined. Another thing is that people figured out that most NFT's are only riding the hype. Hype can be beneficial in the price of the NFT but some NFT's now can still served their purpose, so as long as the OP still can deliver a decent NFT, then why not?

Unlike the cryptos where the value can depend on so many factors, NFT's are slightly different because we are the ones that can dictate it. We still can increase it if we think the demand for it is high.

You could spend some more time here and do your own reseaarch, not many people here talk about NFT any longer and I have not seen any single interesting or beneficial topic or post about NFT in this forum for these past three months, even if you could find any, most users here show zero interest and dislikeness towards it. NFT hype has faded and if you observe carefully, the popular NFT as of now are mostly dominated by NFT with big backing like pudgy penguin and so on.

knowing that, I don't think it's wise to waste time creating NFT if there's something better, also many of people here are bitcoin maxi so they don't really believe these NFT nonsense which in a nutshell is just a pump and dump of jpegs not even stored on the blockchain properly.

therefore the answer is big NO, it's a waste of time.

It looks like the general concensus is no. My answer is no as well. I'm not a big NFT person and even when NFTs were red hot, I struggled to understand the concept and wasn't really concerned or fascinated by it especially not now that the nft szn has come to an end.

I had an nft I bought to play a gaming project. I listed it on a marketplace and it didn't get sold for over 45 days (1 month and half). Never touching nfts again.

The NFT train is long gone, and never shall we have that hype like we had in the previous bull run. "Intelligent People" know where the smart money is right now, and I don't think you will be able to convince them to buy NFTs that won't be worth anything at all, even when given time.
