Well guys, that wraps it up for now. It seems that there are no laser enthusiasts in this forum, hence I'll look elsewhere. If someone is still interested in this conversation, then feel free to contact me via PM. This thread will be locked.  Smiley

I have learned about it before but in my country, this item is scarce and the price is quite high so I, can not own it .....  Cry

I understand. Some items are not available in every country, and if they do, they tend to cost a fortune due to their scarcity. But hey, if I manage to get a few more lasers, I'm willing to sell you one at a cheap price if you're interested. I'll communicate with you via PM (Private Message/Direct Message) when I decide to sell a laser.  Wink

No laser enthusiasts around here? If that's the case, then I guess that I'm the only guy who's into both cryptocurrencies and lasers at the same time. Anyhow, it was nice to start a little conversation with you guys.

But I must admit, that lasers are quite interesting and as time passes by, they could advance in power giving them the capacity to be used as weapons for military purposes. Once this happens, then laser guns might replace traditional firearms for good.  Grin

Wow, I always dreamed about such a stick. My friend has, played a couple of times - fire, not a wand!

Lol. If you didn't knew, it's possible to burn stuff with this "wand", but it depends on its output power. But, you'd have to be careful since lasers are extremely dangerous and could cause permanent vision loss if not handled correctly. It's best to use safety googles when operating a laser, but other precautions are needed to be taken to avoid misuse of the product.  Smiley

All in all, I'm reading more about lasers to be aware of the risks involved in operating them. It would be nice if there's a laser enthusiast in this forum as I could share my thoughts or ideas related to the subject.

I've became fascinated with acquiring laser pointers for entertainment purposes. Since my budget is low for the moment, I've decided to buy a couple of cheap Chinese laser pointers worth around $3 each. But, I'm planning to get more powerful laser pointers that can burn stuff soon. Such lasers have a power of 1000mW and above but are quite pricey.

Below are the pictures of my newly acquired lasers:

The last laser pointer (model JD-851) has a rechargeable battery and a removable star cap. This was a little expensive than my other laser pointers which look like a pen, but it was worth every penny since it included a holster, a battery charger, and the rechargeable battery.

In the meantime, I have the following laser colors in my collection: Red, Green (x2), and Violet. I've found that the Violet laser pointer pen changes color if I point it into something White. But, I haven't figured out the power output of my lasers as I haven't acquired a laser power meter yet.

Anyways, is there anyone around here who's a laser enthusiast? I'm willing to learn all about lasers since I've found them to be quite interesting. Cool

lasers are dangerous they can blind you permanently or cause severe burnings and even more depending on their power,

Yes. I'm aware of that, which is why I've bought a pair of safety goggles on eBay for $5! They're red and are great for protecting against Red and Green lasers. Now, I'm going to buy a Laser Power Meter to know what power output my laser pointers have. Wink

Maybe someday we will be able to put ourselves into lasers, and blast ourselves to another star or planet at the speed of light. If only we can shine, right along with us, whatever it takes to materialize us back again, from laser light, into material being on that other planet.

Cool

That would be cool. Roll Eyes

What kind of entertainment involves burning things?

Lol  Cheesy  I imagine myself burning my house accidentally due to misuse of the laser. Hence, I'm not going to buy a burning laser pointer yet until I know how to properly manage it. It's best to stick with cheap low-powered lasers for visual effects, in the meantime.  Roll Eyes

What kind of entertainment involves burning things?   Tongue

It's fun to watch balloons pop with lasers, burn matches, light a cigarette, and even do some engraving with it (on certain surfaces like foam). At least it is for me, although I'd admit that they're extremely dangerous. Still, sometimes dangerous means it's cool and some fun stuff can be done with a powerful burning laser pointer (as long as everything is done in a legal way of course).  Roll Eyes

Not a real laser enthusiast, but I fancy the stuff as well.
But, please, invest in a decent pair of safety goggles.
Especially the low-cost Chinese models tend to emit quite some light in the IR and/or UV spectrum, where you might not even notice a deflected beam getting in your eye.
Stay safe and have fun Wink

Thanks for the tip! I've bought a pair of red safety googles on eBay a couple of days ago, which should arrive anytime soon. They were worth $5 which I believe it's a steal! While I'm not sure if there are other googles with higher quality, these seem to fit the bit quite nicely for my basic laser pointers.  Grin

All in all, I'll be extremely careful when operating these lasers as I value my vision more than anything else in life.
