I am horrible at math and was wondering if there is a good conversion chart where I can type in the satoshi
and it gives me a bitcoin amount.

Its easier for me to see .0001 instead of 1000 satoshi or whatever it is lol

I always do these steps, maybe they are helpful:

Open calculator
Enter amount of satoshi
Press x
Type 0.00000001
Press =

Now you have the amount in BTC  Smiley

The entire world uses the Metric system (base 10) except for the US.

I bet the OP is from the US.   Wink

it's strange it should be easy for anyone to remember the number in satoshi, since 1 btc = 100M satoshi

instead of adding suffice like milli, micro etc...

knightkon seems to be going about a rather wordy way of saying:

"just move the decimal place 8 places to the left".

So, using your example:

1000.0 satoshi (note that a number with no decimal implies that the decimal is at the far right side of the number).

1000.0 satoshi
100.00  (1 place to the left)
10.000  (2 places to the left)
1.0000  (3 places to the left)
0.10000 (4 places to the left)
0.010000 (5 places to the left)
0.0010000 (6 places to the left)
0.00010000 (7 places to the left)
0.000010000 (8 places to the left)

Now just drop off the extra zeros on the right.

0.00001 BTC

Done.

Move decimal 8 places to the left to get from Satoshi to BTC.
Move decimal 8 places to the right to get from BTC to Satoshi.

it is not something you need to think to hard about and it is easy, you just need to think easy.  1 Bitcoin is equal to 100,000,000 or 100 million satoshi.  You need to just think of the zeros before the full number of satoshis.  You always need 9 numbers in satoshi for each translation to 1 Bitcoin.  If someone just gave you 12,500 satoshi, get rid of the common and add zeros before the number until you have eight total numbers.  12500 is 5 numbers, so you need 4 more.  000012500.  next always.  Because this represents 1 Bitcoin, you need to add a point in there.  The point will always be between the 8th and 9th digit in your number, counting from right to left.  In this case you have 0.00012500.  So  it is easy to just to work on the decimal point place all of the time.  If someone gave you 3418523 satoshis, start from the right and count to the left until you count the 8th digit, in which you place a decimal point after that number, counting right to left.  This leaves .03418523 BTC.

google suggested: http://youmeandbtc.com/bitcoin-converter/convert-btc-mbtc-bits-satoshis-usd/

usually easier to just have a excel spread sheet with the formula    =A1/100000000   wrote into another cell where you want the answer (not A1) and then you just type in your satoshi amount into A1.. just be sure to format the cell containing the formula to be 8 decimals if you want the full spectrum
otherwise 1000sat will look like 0.00001 instead of 0.00001000
