I recently bought a Ledger nano S. I sent both legacy and segwit address/transactions to this Ledger.

When I connected my ledger wallet to electrum, I can only see the legacy transactions/addresses, not the segwit ones.

The electrum version I am using is 2.8.2.

Will I be able to see all my ledger transactions (segwit and legacy) if I download electrum 3.0?

It appears that there will be two variants of segwit supported in Electrum: P2SH-segwit and native segwit.  Which is recommended?

Within the next release (3.0), the repository has been updated and segwit is supported on it. You do have to clone and build it yourself for now though.

If you want to use segwit, you have to generate a new seed with the segwit option selected. Else, you will still be using the same old P2PKH wallet format.
