nobody suggested  to create an "asic customer alliance" ?


i mean something like all ppl interested in one device could join one groupbuy (maybe assisted by a lawyer) that draw up a contract with the seller that states a clear refound conditions bond to a strict delivery date.


if all customer put the things in this way, the sellers think twice before acting shady.

Asic customers are all at eachother's throats really.  If I order from company A, and you order from company B and B fails to deliver, I make more money. BFL's failure has resulted in a lot of people who didn't order from them making a lot more money then they would have.

Last summer, BFL made a promise to deliver hashing hardware in the fall that sounded like an amazing deal. They still haven't delivered that hardware over a year later.
You would be wise to pick a company that can actually deliver product without year long delays.

Which company can?


We know which can't, pretty definitively and that means start shopping elsewhere.

Bitfury are delivering their July orders on 400 gh and 25 gh kits. Lots of threads and pics in this forum.

2 months meant 2 months with Bitfury.

Seems like a very good deal to me. Plug 2 of these in your PCIe slots and you can mine at 1.2 Th/s

Wondering if I should cancel my order at KNC for the Mercury (100 Gh/s $2000) and get one of these.



In theory it sounds nice except remember this:

BFL has never made a deadline or kept any of their promises ever. EVER.

Don't forget that BFL said they would start shipping late October 2012. And then in November, and December, and January, etc. They were 10 months late.

Don't forget that BFL said they would ship all of their backlog within 90 days. Its been over 90 days and they have only shipped maybe 15% of their orders? They are still in July 2012 for minirigs and singles.

My honest opinion is that you will never receive your Monarch. BFL will go out of business before then due to all the incoming refund requests.

If somehow they survive I predict you'll receive it sometime Dec 2014.

I don't see how this is out of the realm of possibility as long as enough voltage/current is supplied to a properly cooled PCIe card. Have you looked at an Nvidia Titan card lately? Those things are beastly & they only consume about 250W. Now granted, BFL ain't Nvidia or ATI/AMD by a long shot but the point is, it's technologically possible.

With that said: with their track record, just like Xian01, I'd be like caveat f'n emptor about BFL & their chameleon-like delivery dates.

I find it hard to believe that anyone could get 600 Gh/s in a PCIe card and keep it cool longer than 10 seconds to actually run. Must be a joke, but .... It must be a unicorn. Glad to see that it finally landed in Kansas much less. Nah, no pre-order for me. I got the last refund from them and wouldn't ever think of giving them more cash.

Wrong again! Their ASICs are almost a year late, with 400% the originally advertised power draw. And to top it off they belittle their customers the whole way.

But sure, if you were going to flush the money anyway, why not pay BFL to **** on you instead?

Had they delivered their current specs in Oct 2012, I think people would have been tolerant of their failures in the power draw department.

I will never preorder again with BigFuckingLiars.
BFL wil never ship it on time, they are twisting and bending every proposed date for uncountable times.

It's best to never preorder the Monarch and go for the newer players on the field
Look an bitfury for example , he delivers before the supposed shipping date. Ok , he stil has to tweak but he has given almost double the hashrate to people
