It might be cheaper to buy the coins than to mine them.

Maybe they are planning on buying Avalon ASICS and are redesigning the boards to do that? Wink

I don't believe any of the ASIC Singles have yet been seen in the flesh, perhaps because word has it they require a redesign of casing to deal with greater than expected heat. The Jalapenos have been seen, however.

They don't even have a picture of what it will look like yet!  Cheesy

The Jalapeño/5Gh is in the box/cooler that the Single/50Gh was supposed to use.

I've read the forums, Googled, looked at the BFL site - but still am not sure...

Has anyone on these forums actually seen a BFL 50 GHz system in action?

Sounds like BFL's design/production issues will result in my order for the BFL 50 GHz to be a larger, and possibly a couple of systems mixed to actually produce 50 GHz of capacity.

I did find this video/post which looks like the latest info https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bfls-jalapeno-exists-i-have-one-in-my-hand-and-just-uploaded-a-video-181849
