The market cap's already rebounded somewhat to $420b from $350b.

I wonder how much of this buying is financial institutions?

Roobet supporter and player!
As of now, speculations made people more fear of cryptocurrency. People who are not aware to the environment of crypto makes a panic selling. Aside from  banning of bitcoin in every part of the world, altcoins also dipping down. That is the reason why some of the traders specially the newbies sell out their coins and pulling out with crypto.
We cannot tell the future of digital currency but if we are all losing the opportunity to change our world then all of the hardship of Satoshi Nakamoto will gone. Hopefully, the vision of cryptocurrency will always remain in us till the moment we faded.

Exactly.

Yeah, the tech is here now, it's not going anywhere. But we are giving up control of it to the same old status quo every time there's a panic.

You're a future multi-millionaire if you hold a decent amount of top-100 coin, if not already, all you have to do is stay strong while others panic.

I was thinking something along the same lines.

People are behaving like crypto-currency is going to somehow just go away again and fade into the sunset like an old cowboy.

It's not. Just like paper currency didn't go away just because some people took longer to abandon gold and silver as a means of exchange.

Those weak hands abandoning ship right now will tell everyone when they're old how they almost made it big from crypto back when it was still in its infancy.. but they didn't. Because they were too scared to put their money where their mouth was.

Oh well, more cheap coins for the rest of us! Wink

Remember when it was supposed to be a way to get away from central bankers and government control and allow people to control their own finances?

Now short contracts appear and suddenly one news story about India - that's not even true - can get reported by the lapdog media and everyone loses their shit.

I've seen so much anti-crypto FUD of late, people almost willing the market to go down. You're letting them win. One thing for sure, bankers will be buying today and will control the market further. Is that what you want? Or do you want to go back to fiat and having your wealth printed away to pay for shit you don't agree with and cannot change?

If you don't want to be a debt slave, find your fucking spine and HODL!  Cool
