Strange how the OP managed to post a site that did not exist before and was just created last month?
It's strange to me because the OP opened this topic on 09 April 2014, ~11 years ago.  Sad
A newbie made a necropost and we still have a whole discussion about a service that doesn't exist.

If someone insists on the date of domain registration, you should keep in mind that this is not the first registration of this domain, there was only a certain "unregistered" period while whois shows only the last session.

More about domain history: https://web.archive.org/web/20140501000000*/bitcoinexchangebot.com

I feel that there are lots of watchers here on the forum that are consistently digging to look for opportunities, just like this mentioned domain and registered just last month to try to promote it and sell it on Godaddy.

I don't think someone would buy this domain. If you look at the domain itself at first, you would think it is a scam because most of the bots right now are already available on the exchanges like Binance and OKX, so why? Do we need a bot that we never heard of before?

Regarding bitcoinexchangebot.com, there's no clear evidence from public reviews or web data indicating its legitimacy or operation as a scam. However, the crypto space is rife with fraudulent platforms, especially those with "bot" in their names, which can often be linked to automated scams or phishing attempts.

Exactly the angle I am coming from. If I am looking for an exchange or a trading platform, I'll definitely not go to the site that has bot in it.

In the other hand, if I want to buy a domain to push my project, I'll also not consider a domain with bot in it. I thought it's peculiar to me because of my past scam incident with trading bots and not knowing someone is thinking same thing elsewhere.

The site is very new and the name looks like scam if it is a trading website and not actually a bot.

But I check the site now and it is for sale. Was it not for sale you saw there before?

I can not buy a domain that was just created some days ago for $2888. It is not worth it. The domain owner is really looking for ways to make money at all costs.
The site existed for some years back before going offline and having the domain up for sale again. I think the domain information keeps changing every time someone purchases the domain. So you might see as if the registration date was only recent.

This is how it looked like in the late 2013 - https://web.archive.org/web/20131223055022/http://bitcoinexchangebot.com/

Always be sceptical about new and unknown services/websites, even if they might be legit. If you are looking for trading across currencies and fiat, I warmly suggest Binance or similar known exchanges. On Binance you can buy sell and trade really quick and it has a simple system you can use.

It's always better to use such known and popular platforms which actually guarantee some safety to users.

And as commented already, the domain is for sale. Shady business.

I just found this site, and I had no idea there were so many options for trading BTC. Has anyone tried bitcoinexchangebot? (bitcoinexchangebot.com) Given the number of scams going on these days, I'm wondering if these guys are legit. I'm not endorsing them in any way - just looking for feedback. Thanks!
Be it legit or not legit not legit, it is better you avoid the site.

Hey Angela8488, did you ever hear or know anything more about this bot?

I think I purchased BTC from it in January 2014.
I've been trying to figure out what exchange or who was behind it.

If this is the bot I used, (1 of 2 possibilities I've narrowed it down to), I
got the link from a marketer I had followed for years. The marketer is legit,
but he hasn't responded to my messages asking him, so not hopeful. Thinking
it might have been a Mt. Gox purchase.
