Guys apart from mining can money be made through Node? I heard people talking about this and I don't know how it works, is it another way of mining? Is it as profitable? Any explanation will be helpful
there is pos coin aka staking, masternode and new days defi called apy farmer, those mechanic need sum coin to trigger it

but is risker than mining and less profitable in generic, sometimes is far more profitable than mining but mostly depend how the staking works, each coin has different method

There are several different block reward structures utilized by different Cryptocurrencies.

-Proof Of Work (Mining): A block reward is paid to the miner that mines, or adds a new block to the blockchain by generating a valid hash to confirm transactions. Payouts are proportional to the work done on the network to the other miners (difficulty). It requires an upfront investment in hardware, time to setup and maintain and ongoing expenses to run. The most notable example of this block reward model is BTC.

-Proof Of Stake (Staking): A block reward is paid to stake holders that confirm transactions and add new blocks to the blockchain by holding coins in their wallet and running a full node. Payouts are proportional to the amount of coins on stake. This is the model ETH is moving towards.

-Masternode: A node that operates as a governing and managing role for the network. It usually requires to hold a large number of coins in escrow. Payouts are distributed equitably across all masternodes operating on the network. The most notable example of this block reward model is DASH. Another example is ZEN that utilizes a Secure node and Super node model.
