Description:Two bedroom 80 square meter unit with 2 ½ bathrooms and complete kitchen. Complimentary use of high speed wifi as well as use of desktop computer with broadband internet access. A 32 inch flat screen TV with cable rounds out the apartment’s entertainment options. The apartment is serviced every other day. View a video of the place, here:
http://youtu.be/njeJJN6Yf6IPrice per day:$130 - equivalent amount of BTC to be determined prior to guest's sending of full payment. (I'd prefer to post a fixed BTC price but the way the exchange rate fluctuates nowadays that's impossible.)
No downpayment required upon reservation but I do ask that full payment be sent at least 3 days prior to the date of your stay. Failure of the guest to arrive on the reserved date will result in forfeiture of any payment previously sent.
Location:Good for walking – The apartment is centrally located in the heart of Makati. A major shopping centre Greenbelt-Glorietta is less than a minutes walk away while Ayala Avenue, the Philippines’s equivalent of Wall Street, is a 5 minute walk away. Major Banks such as HSBC and Citibank are a 5 and 10 min. walk away, respectively. Ayala Museum is less than a 5 minute walk away. For your food needs, there is a 24 hour convenience store located in the building, while a regular supermarket is less than a 10 minute walk away.
Great for getting a car or mass transport- Given the apartment’s central, location hailing a cab is easy while the nearest Mass Transit Station (MRT- Ayala Avenue Station) is around a 15 minute walk away.
Great as a base for visiting other sites in Manila- Makati lies roughly in the middle of all the action in Manila. Historic Intramuros (the walled city of the Spaniards) and Chinatown are around 30-45 minutes by car. Ermita / Malate (a cultural and artistic centre for centuries) is around 30 minutes away by car. Newly minted shopping and entertainment zone, Fort Bonifacio, is around 15 minutes away by car. The International Airport is around 30-40 minutes away by car. (As you can tell from the travel times, Makati is close to everything. What delays most car trips is the inevitable traffic.)
Q: I am new to the Philippines! What is the difference between Makati and Manila?
A: Manila is a hodgepodge of different cities and municipalities. Makati is one of these cities. An apt analogy is that Manila is like New York. New York is made out of different burrows while Manila is composed of different cities and municipalities. Makati is one such city and would, continuing the analogy, be comparable to New York’s Manhattan district.
Safety: Given the nature of the unit’s surroundings (financial and shopping districts) it is not an exaggeration to say that the area is one of the safest in the entire country. One can walk around at night without any fear of anything untoward happening. Moreover, the building itself has round the clock security with roving security checks.
Honest Assessment by Owner: Frankly, if the unit were a hotel, it would rank only around 3 ½ stars. However, considering the size and amenities of the apartment, coupled with its location, we sincerely believe that a stay with us is excellent value for your money. Some minor annoyances to the unit (this is after all an honest assessment): a) You have a view of Greenbelt and the buildings of Ayala Avenue but these are obstructed views and not much to write home about; b) bathrooms could use more counter-space.
