I suppose 1-2 kh/s (if you're lucky) is pretty terrible, but it's better than the miner you mentioned (without calculating power, it'll generate ~12-24 LTC per year) or the BTC miner.

That does look a lot better. But, you know, it's still ridiculously unprofitable. I'm not sure what the point is, but I suppose, "Because I can," is a decent enough reason.

Considering the app is USD2.63 on the Play Store one can be reasonably certain it is not intended to mine for a profit.

I think it is more for benchmarking purposes. Which phone is the most uber or something. I can't imagine anyone is getting excited about the $0.41 per year it could earn (before ASICs arrive).

A news from xda-developers that user has been released a tool called Cgdroid,
"New bitcoin miner has been published to playstore see images, it seems to be a good miner for mobile"
