Is this App going to be focused only on showing your current portfolio or there is going to have an option to show your average investments? For example, how many coins you bought on which price and how much did you profited/lost until now. Take this as a suggestion if isn't available on the app yet.

I am still looking for an app that let me track my investments in real time without me having to manually add all my investments.

Anyway, the design looks sick. I already registered myself for the early beta. Good luck!

It's going to pull in your exchange history so you can get as accurate as possible, a view of your portfolio value vs your initial fiat investment.

I didn't find any other app that was able to do this, so hoping we can achieve this by connecting to the APIs with the major exchanges to start off, and make it easy to sync up your portfolio to easily see gains/loss. Smiley

Awesome I'll keep posted as we make progress!

[UPDATE JULY 7th] Tablet/Desktop quick mockup: http://imgur.com/a/4RpAF

Tech stack
So looking into it my dev and I are most likely going to build this in React Native, as there has been many requests to bring this cross-platform. Plan is to release it mobile first, web version to follow, currently working on tablet/desktop mockup. Looked into Ionic but I think with the graphing React Native may be better performance wise.

Graphing
Plan to introduce it with a detailed financial graph with zoom details, candle sticks, Bollinger bands, etc.

API Syncing
Will launch with initial ability to connect via API to exchanges (read only), we understand trust and privacy is a big issue. This is to avoid tedious manual entries of your transactions for accurate gains/loss

Cross platform (Registered AND guest support)
On Reddit I got a lot of questions why we plan to introduce a login system, and the only answer to this is because I want to have the convenience of checking my portfolio anywhere, so that will require a login to sync your account. However, I understand some people would rather not signup, so we plan to also have a guest account capability, with option to convert it into a registered account. Decision is up to you, the user.

Release plan
iOS/Android first
Web/desktop/tablet to come after

Upcoming Roadmap
Plan out architecture
Plan out features for MVP
Build out account system
Finish high fidelity design mockups for mobile
Finish high fidelity design mockups for tablet/web
Map out all user flows
Integrate 3rd party APIs and data sources
Integrate graphing functionality

Feedback
Email me at [email protected] with any suggestions or feedback!
Ultimately I’m building this for myself and the community to use, have a feature you think would be crucial to make this app successful and useful? Get involved!

The interface looks good and user friendly. I like the idea as well and seems to work well as shown in the video.

If a user wants to sync the data from exchanges, (s)he is required to put his/her log in details from that exchanges, right? If yes, how can we be sure that our data is safe with the app? How can we trust our credentials to it and to you as the owner?

Thanks man! In order to sync with exchanges, you would create an API key, which you can limit to read only access, and you simply enter in the API key into the app.
Ultimately trust is what will help drive adoption of the app. I'm building this because it's something I wanted to use for myself to manage my own investments, I didn't find other apps that had the features I need, so I'm creating my own. With that said, privacy is going to be one of the core focuses, so that whoever decides to use the app can rest assured we're not snooping around with the data. That's something we need to weave into our build process to have security protocols in place.

If anyone is experienced in this field and would like to chime in, would love your feedback!

For sure others are also looking for an app with the features you're looking for and building this one is a great idea. Your app will be helpful imo and I myself would like to try it when published. Thank you for the answer, I just want to make sure about the security that's why I asked because as a user, that's the first thing I checked before using an app.

Good luck !

Looks fantastic! Is it only a mockup or is it working yet? Do you plan to release testflight beta builds?
Thanks! It's currently a design prototype only, looking into building this in React Native or Ionic to easily deploy cross platform.
As soon as I have an alpha version working I'll post an update, you can signup to be notified on this page: http://matrixapp.pagedemo.co/ Smiley

The UI looks fantastic. I and probably many others have also been thinking similar thoughts to the offerings on iOS.

Is there any particular reason why you want to implement the API with read-only?

My ideas for a new portfolio manager app are quite similar to yours. Although, where my idea differs...I think the App would be infinitely more useful if you could also use it to trade on the exchanges when you're 'on the go'. I know there are other Apps where you can trade using the APIs but they are exchange specific and have horrible UIs.

Thanks! That's a great question, ultimately I think it comes down to trust.
I plan to recommend users to set their API access to read only because I think when it comes to managing my portfolio or investments, I wouldn't want a random 3rd party app to have access either, so I think there is a level of trust that needs to be earned before a trading feature is introduced.

But that's definitely the ultimate convenience factor, being able to easily trade on the go Smiley

Open to suggestions for this!

Wow, your app is amazing, great work for making such an app! Cheesy How does it work? Do you manually enter the holdings that you have or ,like its shown in the video, connect to the exchange site and get the listings? That would be quite useful, for me I would like to see the profit/loss I had for each coin/total daily/weekly to keep track of how I am doing.

I support this app, and the future updates are fine. This app would be pretty useful , good luck on implementing it! Smiley Do you plan to release it on Google Play, Apple app store or as an apk?
Thanks man! The idea is to connect it to the exchanges so it pulls in your portfolio automatically, no tedious manual entry involved. I hated the idea of manually entering everything, but In the app I will allow both auto pulling via APIs to exchanges and manually entry for those people who don't want to sync it.

Hi everyone!

Been lurking around but it was about time to make a post Smiley After digging into the crypto scene a bit and investing some money into various assets, I started looking for an app to help me manage my portfolio and see my gains/losses. Unfortunately from my own searching around the app store and what was out there (at least for iOS), I wasn't really happy with the apps available as they were either buggy, or required a lot of manual entry, didn't give enough ways to analyze the market and my portfolio (gains/loss).

Was generally unsatisfied with the lack of features I wanted, and the UX weren't the greatest for existing apps. So for the past week I've been whipping up my own designs, and started prototyping them in Flinto to get a mockup going, and this is something where I intend to build to have all the features I wanted, and I'm hoping to hear from the community too what you would consider the core and essential features? If there's enough interest perhaps we can turn this into a reality and have the Crypto management app of our dreams? Smiley

So far I've shared it on Reddit and there seems to be good interest, I'm hoping to get some feedback from you guys too as this community has been around for a while!

What I intend to build:
* API Integration with popular exchanges to pull (read only, securely and privately) transactions, no need for manual entry to get an accurate gain/loss
* Price alerts - Push notifications to your phone
* Detailed candle bar (or other) graphs to visualize data like you can on exchanges
* Easily see an accurate snapshot of your holdings, and change during a specific time period
* Fav/Watch currencies

Here's a video demo: https://vimeo.com/224261033

Would love to get some feedback, and feel free to let me know if there's any core features you would like to see! Hope to build this out if there is enough interest and share it with the community!
