Thanks. Smiley

As soon as I finish current projects, I'll expand the POLO CALC so you can combine multiple trades.

I've been reminded that having a forum new-joiner with 1 post offering "free software that will surely help you" might sound suspicious Smiley

I for one would never download an EXE file from someone I don't know even though I have an online wallet.

Bearing that in mind, I've put my whole code up on Github. Mind the messiness, it was written in a day so I didn't care for formatting and optimizing....

I've been trading @ Poloniex for a while now and even though I can't say for myself that I'm a successful trader, I have an APP that helps me a lot in my trades. I don't know if something like this already exists but hopefully you will find it useful and maybe even make a profit. Many a times was I in a situation where the price was moving and I was unsure if I would make a profit. Then in a hurry I would open the calculator and start bashing the numbers in hoping I wouldn't insert something wrong. Then the POLO CALC idea came up.

POLO CALC

POLO CALC is an app for calculating potential earnings of a trade based on the predefined parameters. On startup it will automatically get POLO ticker data and parse it for further use.

Controls:

  -  Select market: Upper most control is a textbox where you can enter (or choose from a dropdown menu) the market in which you are looking to trade. It will then automatically populate the "Buy price" field with the lowest ask price for selected market.

  -  Buy price: If you select a market the buy price will be populated automatically, but you can define it manually aswell.

  -  Buy in: Here you will insert the amount of BTC that you are buying the selected coin with.

  -  Amount: The amount of coins you will buy will be calculated based on the price and amount of BTC resulting in total subtracted by the fee (2%).

  -  Sell price: By default sell price will be calculated based on your previous input, at which if you sell you will suffer no loss. Changing the price will affect your earning so by moving the price you can see how much you will earn.

  -  Earning: Here you will see how much BTC you will make on the trade. As I said, by default sell price will be calculated so that you loose nothing and earning is calculated based on selling the bought amount of coin at the selected price minus the fee. You can manipulate it as well and the sell price will be calculated again in order to satisfy your desired earning at which point you can cast judgement if the price will rise to that level or not.

http://s16.postimg.org/7gsvnqggx/buttons.jpg
  -  Buttons:
    -  C: This button (C)lears all input (buy in, amount, sell price, earning) except buy price. It is designed for when you want to calculate a new trade.
    -  R: This button (R)efreshes the buy price and adjusts your parameters based on the buy in. So it will calculate the amount and sell price to make sure you get the earning you inserted base on the new lowest ask.

All controls can be manipulated by the UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT arrows. UP - increases the price/amount. DOWN - decreases the price/amount. RIGHT - move increment to the right (ex. 0.x -> 0.0x). LEFT - move increment to the left (ex. 0.0x -> 0.x). And the buttons REFRESH and CLEAR have shortcuts: REFRESH - ctrl+R, CLEAR ctrl+Q

Be aware: Poloniex uses strange fee and amount calculating algorithms so if you place an order with desired coin amount, your BTC buy in will be calculated, but if you put in the same calculated BTC buy in, you will get a different amount of coins (see below)

This is why POLO CALC uses BTC buy in as the base for all the calculations.
