Your coins aren't lost and nothing is wrong.

Bitcoin network transacts coins based on the amount of coins in Bitcoin and not the amount of Bitcoin relative to the fiat value. Some wallets display the coin value in fiat instead of Bitcoins.

When you sent the Bitcoins, you sent 0.11594BTC+fees to your Electrum wallet. 0.11594BTC is about 250 pounds also.

Hello ,

Yesterday morning I made a transaction wherby I sent roughly around 250 pounds worth of bitcoin from my blockchain wallet app to my electrum wallet on my laptop . I scanned the recieving address on my phone and transferred the allocated funds to the recieving address . At the time my electrum wallet was synchronizing so nothing appeared in the history section , later on this problem was diagnosed by updating  electrum , the green icon appeared in the bottom corner and subsequently the wallet was online . The history section suddenly refreshed and showed the transcation however the display showed that my wallet balance was , and still is , only 115.94 mBTC . I cannot understand why this is when the blockchain app clearly shows that around 240 pounds , due to fluctuations , was sent to the recieving address in electrum .

I am new to this lark and was wondering if had made some silly mistake and  what might have happened to these apparaent lost coins and if there is any way of retrieving them ?

Any advice would be appreciated
